hey all. lookin for crits before i start pushing the textures on the actual 3d model (and i still need to model a few small things..but yah) itself.
this is my first actual 3d matte painting, as i was kinda scared to try it out. but im enjoyin it..so yah. now im looking for crits and what not. see what i can fix and tweak, what looks bad, what to move, etc etc,...you know how it goes.
so heres the actual image so far after about 2-3 hrs of work tonight and the step by step...etc.

The horizon of your render doesn't match the horizon of the background.
Either the moon or the clouds, not both. And maybe not either.

I like the composition so far, but the leafy sprout in the bottom left hand corner looks a little lonely. The design rule I'm thinking of: Unity with Variety. Right now you have a lot of variety, but not much unity of shapes. So, I would subtract something that doesn't fit, like the branch, or add more of it. I like the mechanical stuff. What is it supposed to be?? A landing pad or balcony of some sort??

kid: yah...that whole bottom left part is buggin me a bit. ill see what i can do about it. i like the idea of adding more branches. ill see what i can do about that.
and yep, its a landing pad. wasnt really planning on doing anything with this model as it was just fooling around one night and well..i got this...so im thinkin i might attempt to finish it.
