Its' free and it takes less than 10 seconds!
I know it's still about a month away, but I started creating this Halloween character and just kept going with it. It's more of a caricature, and the distortions in anatomy are intentional. Couple small problem areas I may tweak, but I think I'm pretty much done with it. All comments welcome!
this is actually pretty cool.
couple little things, which you could have been thinking of when you mentioned tweaking. her right thigh looks quite a bit longer than the left. the general variation in tone feels a little flat, too. just a few adjustment layers could really make the piece pop. maybe try flattening the image then create a curves layer- set the black point at the eyelashes, the grey point in a general bg grey and the white point in the whites of her eyes. fine tune the curve a little bit and see what it looks like. should get all warm and fuzzy. the only other thing is that some areas feel a bit uniform. like where her ear overlaps her hair, it looks pasted on. same with the ponytail, it looks kind of like a clay model of hair rather than actual free flowing hair.
that was kind of a windy critique.. but i really like the piece. just nitpicking.

Thanks for your input Sourgasm. Yeah, the ponytail definitely needs refinement - and good call on the right thigh. It's amazing how you can be working on something for hours and hours, and not see something that's right in front of your face until somebody points it out. Also, I tried the adjustment layers, and it did pop the whole piece more, although some of my dark areas seemed to go too dark and lose detail, so I need to play with it more. Thanks again for the input.
ya thats cool. Love the colors used here. Dark...
