    Godspeed you! black emperor

    ever heard of em?

i did recentley, and love their music, their live audio is far nicer than recorded.

if you havent got a chance to check this band you should, its post rock, and very instrumental. their music styles range a lot from hard rock at times to soft melodic music. i even heard a bit of cultural influence in their music(albanian) (storm).

Its nice, each song is 16-30 mins long and rises to a climax and falls down.

I always listen to them and silver mt.zion.

The best show I ever saw was from them. The ticket was 10$.

I cant believe how good it was and it s just 10$, I was 2 feet away from the band. Some people pay up to 200$ for U2 tickets and they are 200 feet away from them.

It seriously is one of my favorite band.

Too bad they are no longer together...

Check out the song called Sleep on the "Raise your skinny fist like antennas to the sky" it is one of my favorite

Ive been a fan for years. I just saw Silver Mount Zion a few months back. Amazing show, if you ever get the chance go see them, and for $15 you can't lose. Most of the Montreal art rock scene is pretty good.

wow its been a long time since i posted, but i am happy to see that people like this band.

its really hard to understand their music at first, which is why my friends cant listen to it.

During drawing class in school i presenteted few F#A#oo songs and a few other from other albums, they all felt the music is sad and scary

well scary, not sure but most songs are sad, but not the depressed sad, but.. well its hard to explain.

i heard that this band has a open tape policy, does that mean they let fans openly record their live items legally?

because ive heard a huge number of high quality recording and i swear its far better then their studio recordings.

Dead Flag Blues inspired my 1st Round LMS2 entry.
GY!BE is one of my favorite bands.
    Favorite song is Moya.

I did just find Sparrows, Swarm and Sing, which is a band that is like a mirror held up to GY!BE's earlier stuff. (at least the album i heard)

    Hooo...
Ive been a huge fan for a long time.
Unfortunately I havnt ever been to a contest of theirs

Other bands you may like if you like GSYBE:
    Do Say Make Think
    Red Sparowes
    Explosions in the Sky
    Mogwai

Sigur Ros sort of has a similar idea, but sounds very different.
And if you like Sigur Ros, you MIGHT like Mum.

    GO FORTH AND LISTEN!
