    really awesome updates : D

thanks for posting the tut, it's very interesting,
i have a question about the bit where you mention blending,
do you mean blending as in layer-blending modes, or blending as in using low-opacity brushes to softly blend two colours together?
if you mean the 2nd one isn't so good, are you suggesting that blending should always be done by just picking each colour from the transition straight from our mind?

    thanks!

Ahh so good to see you posting again!
Do you actually paint with all your maps on different layers like in your tutorial or do you just think about them while you are working?

pClancy, those are just thinking process, more like how I analyze color when I study, when I work I completely use different approach simply because I have no time to analyze, and also this is old one I did long time ago so don't look at it too seriously

Care, thanks for following my arts for a while

    Triplaneta, Quike Garcia, thx

aks9, firstly this is really old tutorial I might think differently on some areas now, people are changing during the grow up process haha, but on 1 thing I am still pretty sure is that point you mentioned, I do believe blending by soft brush or other way like smudge will create unnatural and unreal color transition, so best way is try to pick the color you think as much as you can, off course sometimes it is not workable and not efficiently during certain working situation, but at least you need to train yourself to understand what is good and what is not, never depend too much on tool like Photoshop,

thanks, that's what I was thinking : ) i noticed that quite clearly when doing still lifes, i had to manually pick almost each part, and the brush blending is mainly for making soft edges

and those last pics are really reaeeealy good, damn!!

I've tried posting here a few times now, every time I do the site goes down just before I post haha! Anyways, I just wanted to stop by and say thanks for starting to post again...you are a huge inspiration to me, I can remember looking at your stuff back in 2009 before I was even a member here and drooling over it. Haha, fun to think back to the motivation I got from you and Algen and Jana back in the day! You just keep getting better and better too, it's awesome, so just keep posting!

I really like the first one for Briar. The last one is too much of a Boobs and Butt pose for me
