I have a few things I have been keeping secret. So expect those in the coming days.

Now I don't consider myself a romantic man, so this is about as close as I could get for my lady-friend.

the heart-piece is great. yesterday me and my girlfriend were discussing why people give away heart-shaped presents for valentine's day. not why they do so but why the "heart shapes" looks what it looks like since it has nothing in common with an actual heart great thing

    Nice Sith

I think your imagined birds are looking really...how to put this lightly...dopey.

    Like a bunch of dodos.

Of course you could have been going for this feel, if so, good job

I guess i'm only really talking about the one in the center, the others are a little more elegant.

Thanks for the feedback Dylan. I was kind of going for a 'scraggly' look.

Hi!! Wooow, nice colouring you got! You use varied brush strokes in just the right places for the most part!! I hope to get to that level one of these days, especially for environments!!

I haven't seen through all your pages, so my next thoughts may not apply. Few things: I notice you don't draw feet very much. O_O They're either cut off from a picture, or they're hidden in boots or big shoes. Feet are nuts to draw, but it would be cool to see how you tackle them!

In post 222, you're doing a character design. Do you have the character on the same layer as the background? If so, it might be good to put the character on his own layer. You can avoid putting the smaller outside strokes around him when you do that. Unless that's supposed to be some aura of magic or something. o_o I like the colours you used form him, but I notice some parts are off a little--in perspective his right pant leg appears "pulled down" over the right boot more than on his left pant leg on the left boot. I understand you're just trying to show that the right leg is further away from us. Also, his nose may be positioned too much to the left on his face. It looks flattened, but off-center, too. Angles are weird sometimes, aren't they?

In post 229, it's an assignment but I guess I could put two cents in... I think the lighting there is really nice! Ahhh, walking outside from a stuffy wooden area... ^_^ I can really tell how he's got a heavy weight on his hands, you portrayed that aspect very well! I notice the door's perspective is strange. The top of it should look bigger because it's closer to us...unless it's a small top frame for that particular door.

In post 232, what a lovely painterly look. I really admire the work you put into her face and the crown. Watch the lighting, though! Be sure it's consistant on every part it touches--check out her eyes. There seem to be two lights in different directions. Really though, unless the light is between the eyes and very close in distance, I don't think it would reflect that way exactly.

I think that's all I'll bug you about! I admire your progress a lot, and I only got a glimpse of how much you're improving!! Keep up the great work!

Hey Sublimus, thanks for the useful knowledge about midgreys. I realized after you pointed that out, and looking at your posts, I can tell you have a good eye for mid values. I'm not sure if you're trying to go with a flat poster like image on your digital paints, but i think you could push your darks and lights to give more volume and form. It's like the exact opposite i guess for me.

Also the last enviro seems cluttered, i think in a good enviro a 'vastness' of space is depicted or felt, i think the horizon line being centered causes a too symmetrical composition also if you do want to create more depth try pushing the land and horizon back more to recede off in the distances; also don't forget to convey atmosphere as edges in the distance should soften or become lost

Thanks for visiting my sketchbook, thought I'd return the favor.
You're constantly improving, can tell you've improved quite a bit just from the top of this page, and that's always cool to see. I really like the lines in the last life drawings, seems like you had no trouble whatsoever putting them down.
