slayer- hmm too bad that you didn't look over it once again. always know that I always try to do my best in everything I do, so the reason why this stuff maybe doesn't look good enough is because I don't know it better at the moment. I just want to say that if you crit my stuff pleeeease be precise and point with your finger on it if you are able to. Knowing that this stuff has got major flaws doesn't really help me here, sorry . Of course I will try to improve it, as I always do but a precise crit might help me a lot more than just trying and trying and trying until it finally looks right by accident.

Well, heres some mroe stuff. All this stuff is WIP of course. final touches are going to be posted at the very end of the project^^

here the first two pieces for Jens' color studies class. I do not like them at all, but it's the first time I am doing stuff like that digitally. Gonna do a lot more of that stuff today.

Nice houses! I realize that these are probably speedy concepts for a client who wants this cartoony style, but I'd like to see just a little more detail to make them pop, to make them seem more realistic, while still maintainging the stylyzed feel. Just a suggestion..

The horse pelvic at the top of the previous page looked like a starship before I knew what it was!

JPC- hehe thank, well they are for an Onlinegame coming out this year. maybe it will be come that famous that they will make toys out of it

Serpian- thanks for this thought man. yeah I have been thinking the same but the client said that this stuff will be scaled down that much that more detail wouldn't make any sense.

here are two more colorstudies. Still not liking them but it gets better

Since they are supposed to be studies of the basic colors and their shapes, I am always making these "check-thumbs", here you got em too

And another one. Finally I feel that i am on the right track concerning these studies. this is by far the best one of these that I have done. screwed up the proportions but the colors came out quite nicely.

Edit: hmm guess that 4.0 updates screw up my attachments, just klick the links

I don't know why you don't like the digital colour studies, I think they are really good! You've used colour really well in them, and for the last one - theres nothing wrong with a bit of 'artistic liscence', I think the phrase is :p

But great work! I can't wait to see more!

spirit- thanks a lot My main problem was concerning the definition fo form, somehow I felt that my first studies were only consisting of random color blobs, not defining anything.

and one mroe of these, for the first assignment

Mucho nice color studies on those mountains!
I think you used a tad bit too saturated and light yellows, looks a bit less saturated, and a little bit more to the orange.

    Keep it up!

Hey Christof, wie geht's? Ich bin zurück in D, wie wärs mal mit Treffen und jetzt ricchtig zusammen zeichnen, oder bist Du nicht mehr in Rheinberg?

Very cute designs you have here with the houses! The color-studies look extremely rad, to! I disagree with flaskpost on the last one, though. I think the colors are right for the most part, only in the original photograph, there's more details in the mountains which make them look less colorful. Well, the right mountain may be a tad too yellow.

flaskpost- thanks dude! I noticed ecactly the same points, still struggeling with the digital color-pickers. Stuff is gettin hard there where real paint is so easy to handle.

So jobs are over for now. I am really enjoying to have some time for myself and my own ideas again. Here are two really bad bad shots of 2 paintings I worked teh last two days on. I really like them although there surely a lot of things to fix but it just makes me happy seeing some stuff that came out of my own mind. Aw, art is such a beautiful thing

Again, sorry for teh bad shots, but my sisters digicam sucks ass. Gonna ask a friend of mine to take better shots of these using his kickass canon.
