Sweet brush strokes of hair glory. Well done!
I just was too lazy to upload the PSD of my last piece yesterday buuuuuuut today I'm not, so here you go. If you want to know how I painted the girl with the nice hairstyle, download the PSD with a ridiculous amount of layers
Finally some personal stuuuuffs, this time a little bit of conceptwork. Also I might be able to show some of my freelancestuff I've been doing lately and of which I think is actually worth showing
Other than that I have been taking freelance a little bit easier the last weeks and focused mroe on personal stuff, especially sketching with reaaaaaal pens again. To be honest right now this is the thing that's most fun to me
So for now here's a persian influenced orcdude !!
See you soooooooooon!
yeeeeeeeeeeepp I totally fucked that up I know
Was one of those moments where I was like " yea it's dooone.........oh......oh ohnooo! "
Oah that legs have been bothering so much, had to change them, which was not that easy without throwing the whole thing off balance, but I think it's at least better now and I can live with it

Awesome skull studies here.. and the last concept is looking cool.. his legs definitely still feel a bit off, but better for not having the knees facing inwards as much now. You could always fudge it a bit and drop the left hand higlight off his leg toward the foot so the eye is less pulled towards the bottom half of the image... the metals are really nicely done so the eye wants to go to them anyhow.. Fave image thus far is the girl's face study with that really strong green, has a great feel to it.
Hey, thanks so much for the skull photos, they're fantastic. Your progress and the way you share your thought process is very inspiring.
Do you think perhaps the reason you paint studies differently to your illustrations is because there is an unsolved problem in the illustrations, the solution to which is apparent in the studies? Perhaps you can identify and solve that problem before you start painting...
Just a thought. I have no freaking clue :p
Stellar work here, and some real nice studies too, especially that hair study. Wow!
So happy to scroll down to to see you changed that dude's legs. He came out nicely and you did a great job on getting those materials to look realistic!
sooooo here's a comission I finished some time ago and which I can show now.
Its an Illustration I painted for for Strength in Numbers Studios' game Tuebor which is based one one of their characters. Check out their Fb Page now that you're here!! https://www.facebook.com/SiNStudios
