-All WIP's, including the bud monster (thanks to texahol for a very helpful paintover!)

The budmonster is rad, Dished. Good sketches and he just looks so cute.
The guy weirds me out a bit though, mostly cos i get practical questions like 'how does he peee?' and euh... stuff. You drew an awesome shoulder there, but the chest/back seem a bit skinny and underdeveloped. Seems like he's well fed and fit, but the back and chest kinda disagree. Needs more meat there.
I think you can still push the intrinsic values of the different areas on the budmonster. Also, he really needs a pinpointed lightsource. It's too generic right now. really pick a specific spot and try to render from that.
I think the budmonster could be pushed further away from canonical proportions. Could try longer legs, like the stems of flowers, the chestribs could be defined more, try having them protrude more, try making them so big that he's got to put his arms out to the sides to avoid rubbing against them. Get some pictures of thorns, and see how they look on his legs, be specific about those little bumps on his legs, try bubble shapes, look at frog warts and whatnot. Would look weird to split his two fingers all the way up to the elbow, put in a bunch of joints, could use asparagus as reference. His toes could look like roots. Maybe he could have some interesting veinage going throughout his body like in leaves. How would it look if you put his eyes on the side of his head instead of frontally? Hell, I think I'm gonna try some of these myself out of curiosity.

Cool stuff. My first thought on the paintings: they could use sharper edges (without using outlines). The lifedrawing that says "spiderman" (I think) looks a little jagged in the arms and sleeves. Maybe you were trying to get it spot on, and it came out stiff? Just keep drawing what you see, that's all I can say.
holy shizz, great improvment, ur sketches are getting cleaner! I really like what I see.
hehey! somebody got on the "rapid improvement" train!

thanks for dropping by my SB nice sketches. what size is you moleskine (hehe, sounds a bit dumb question..) but it looks like you draw very detailed with your pencil. while it looks pretty different on your digital paints. Nothing bad about that, just interesting
Totally smexy works!
I used to doodle billions of faces too until for some reason i stopped
anywayz draw faces and then take the face and just start adding a body to it, for example you drew a dude with a patch over his eye and just like give him a pirate body *worst example ever i know* but you get the idea
Other than that its all looking really nice
keep it up!
