Hi there! I'm new on this forum, so I don't know if this request is out of line or not, but I'm in desperate need of a life reference for a figure in one of my upcoming art projects (I'm a sophomore in art school). All I need is a photo of a person (preferably male) in the pose shown below. It isn't necessary for that person to look exactly like the sketch, but I would like the light source to come from near the left hand. I only need a picture from the waste up because, as you can see, the final drawing will have no legs. This is part of a larger work - I have only posted the relevant section here.
If this is the wrong place to ask, or if you know of a better way to go about doing this, let me know!
Erilaz: I would, but I'm currently trying to keep my guy friends at a distance...they were all fine until they started thinking they had to date me. Now, asking them to pose for me would just make them think I wanted half-naked pictures of them. The gamomaniacal sillyheads.
Lady Hydralisk: Nope. However, I do need to be able to see a body and not just waves upon waves of fat. Regular weight is fine, just not the kind of obese you see on late night television which requires transportation by cargo plane. I don't expect supermodels. They don't look real anyway.
ya, but Dan looks like a girly-man.
Yourself + a tripod.
I have this dream that ConceptArt.org partners with ArtModels.org and we all generate this wonderful symbiotic relationship. Of course, I don't know what the models get out of it, but that would be in the high-rent district of Nirvana.
Of course, just getting the hot girls (Naomi, el al) and more defined guys of this site to help out us chunkier artists would also be cool.
Unfortunately it's more likely to be with AttentionSeekingCamwhores.org.Originally Posted by dogfood

Well, sorry Silvertongue, can't help you here, since I'm a girl and you're looking for a guy.
I don't have problems with finding girl pictures to draw from, but gúys...? There aren't many reasonable male nude or semi nude pictures on the internet..
So guys (of which we have quite a lot here I think) any pictures i can use? I need to draw male chests, legs, arms and full bodies, just about everything (the pics don't need to be entirely nude anyway, just well.. Sómething to draw from hehe)
I'm sorry for posting this request in your topic silvertongue, but it seemed to fit in here.
I thought it would be nice to have a nude photo contribution thread, I always feel kind of dumb copying off of naked pics on the internet for "dynamic" poses not found in the one anatomy book I have. I know it's fair use, but still...
I would definately be willing to donate some pics, and I think my husband would too, he did some modelling for the atelier I attended. It could have simple rules..."give a pic, use a pic". I'd like to see a wide variety of body types and poses, and I'm sure other artists would too.
I could do it.. for tree-fiddy. But I warn you. Any pictures that you were to recieve would feature furry lumps of meat standing upright that if you look hard enough sort of resemble a guy doing a pose (I know, everyone wanted to know that i be furry like animal).
because he has the supple, delicate frame and proportions of a young girl..?Originally Posted by AmishCommy
