    More paint on wood.

    Here are a couple of paintings I did for a small show. Like my previous post, I think they are all decent,(average, boring) but missing something. People seem to like them (sold two) but I'm stuck. My sketches seem to be much more interesting than the finished paintings. Maybe i should post the sketches too? what do you think?

    Like many of my paintings, the idea was to use the wood grain as a contrast to the backgrounds.

    This is acrylic on cedar. my goal was to make it very warm. meh.

    These are the ones that sold, so i suppose there's nothing I can do about these now:

    those are nice, the octopus and the last one of the city are very interesting. its an interesting idea and very simple, cool work. no crits here : )
