armando, I'll sort out some pencil roughs soon.
    Hyperblade, Oregano, shadoman thanks guys

sith, man I'm going to call you Andrew from now on, and the respect goes both ways "mate."

dkounis, Hyperblade, glad you like the "Wasted" chick it was a fun cover to do. The background was one of the enviroments from a later posting.

    kuroat, Dreamwork, thanks guys

These next few images are from an on going prodject.
My wife and I went to see a gig and we really loved the singer.

After the show we got talking to her and have started working on some images.

It's earlly days and I'm not sure where we will end up, but it should be fun

Very nice work again. I notice you do the step by step work, which is great to see the process. Have you given any thought to givng a tutorial on coloring, or anything else you do? I'd like to see your process that way as well.

As far as the images goes, they're great, but I like the first one alot. It seems a bit whimsical, or mysterious, and if you're in a dark mood...resembles Medusa. I guess, the context would determine that. But definetely feels a bit magical, really cool look to it.

haha, thanks man. anyway Steve, dude- this last one is really nice. i'm only wishing the figure stood out a little more so she was more of the focus instead of the design that's in the foreground. don't get me wrong, the white lines are really beautiful (i kinda can't stop looking at 'em), i just wish she was as too. no worries though. i know you probably didn't spend that much time on it. nothing to fret about- just something to think about. keep rockin these out!

    Something a bit different.

Hyperblade Thanks man. Soon as I can I will do a tutorial on colouring.

Andrew as always you are too kind. I get what you mean about the
character being a little lost, this project has a way to go yet. I'm kind of
just playing around when the mood takes me.

I'm planning on doing some more painty stuff soonish I hope, but for something
a little different I thought I'd post up some "doodles"

Some of this stuff was done with T-shirt designs in mind.
The images are just pencil lines inked with a pen, all of them drawn on tracing paper.

Their nothing special, just stuff that springs to mind when I'm sitting half watching the TV or when I'm not sure what I want to do next.

Some of them end up being "worked up" and maybe later I'll post up some of the finished versions

strong updates man. i don't know how you do so much, work. i'm so damn lazy. i don't know how i didn't see this one btw

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...kelly_hair.jpg

love this mix of the very illustrative/ realisitc look. very nice. in other news, you should design tee shirts as a late night job. ef sleep. videogames by day, illustrations by night, tee shirts whatever other time there is.

just curious steve. do you have any fantasy type of stuff. everything so far is urban, if that's the word i'm looking for. not that that's bad, just thinking a change of pace might be nice for you.

wish i could give ya some stars again. don't know how it dropped. this book amazes me. maybe you're not even worried about it. you are a professional and all. if you are thinking about that though, just let it motivate you to make something really great.

Last couple of doodles for now.

Andrew you know your stuff mate

Urban is a word that I hear a lot and it's as good as any to describe a lot of my work. I'd love to get into T-shirt and Skate/Snow board design

It's all just a time thing, I like to have lots of "projects" on the go at once.

The wife and I are doing a "step by step, how to draw Manga on the computer book" at the moment. We get asked to do a lot of Manga style illustrations, I'll have to dig some out and post them up.

It's funny you should mention "fantasy style" stuff, I really want to have a go
at something along those lines, just need to come up with something to inspire me.

Only just starting getting the Hang of things around here Just understood what the stars thing was all about, then I lost one

No big deal, it's great if people like the work but just as many people won't like it

The main thing for me is hooking up with guys like you and seeing some wicked artwork. I always though that this site was mostly full of "fantasy" style art ( not a bad thing ) and that maybe my stuff was too "urban" for people around here.

But it's cool to see there's room for all styles, and seeing some of the lovely artwork around here has got me in the mood to try some Fantasy style
    images.

Okay not been around for a while, and just time to pop in and do a quick post.
With a bit of luck I'll be able to post some new stuff in the next couple of weeks.

I think it looks too copy/paste at this stage if that makes sense. The perspective of the bg imo is wrong for him. Maybe try to blur his outlines a bit. It would fit the destert theme and blend him into his environment better. Btw, I enjoyed your sb so far, lotsa eye candy!

Thanks for the observations MrBobMarley You're spot on.

I think I just needed to get away from it for awhile.

Here's another stage in the process.

i didn't realize you had updated so much since i last popped by. lots of good stuff to see too btw. the line work for the beard boy is sick, in fact i actually like that drawing more than the finished colored version. i can't say too much about the anime (it's not my general cup of tea), but to me they look pretty damn good. of the bunch the only ones that don't necessarily appeal to me as much is the gal on the top right, and the one on the bike. but i really can't seem to figure out why. oh well. just keep doin' this stuff, and i'm sure you'll be busting out some crazy pro anime in no time.

Andrew man sometimes I think you're the only one out there !!
Thanks for always dropping by and glad you like the beard boy line

No worries if anima's not your thing.
The wife and I get asked two do quite a lot.
We have just finished doing a step by step how to draw Manga on the computer, which has been keeping me busy.

I've just started working on an image that's a little more "fantasy".
It's taking it's time and I may do it in two different styles.

A graphics Illustrator style and a "painty" style.

For now here's one I did "earlier".

    New "Painty"

Okay this one's kind of "fantasy"
Well more fantasy than anything I've posted so far

    First the sketches.
I always start off with a line drawing before shading the drawing.
The final image has the drawing worked into the layers.

Maybe my next image will be a bit more fantasy than this one.

Gorgeous! Dude, right click/save as. Only crit is that in the shaded sketch, she's looking at me, and in the colored she's looking off to her left a bit. Awesome job man!

btw i love that thing you do with people's hair- it's like a tekdj trademark, hah.
