Great work, love the comic style. One crit, on the second piece, I think her chin is a tad on the large side. Again great work, will we get to see more?

The cover is probably the best work I've seen from you here, mate. Really good stuff, the detail is just right on this. Always great to see someone who wants to invest time in detailed pencil work.

You need to bring her ear up in the second picture and her waist is very thin.

Also, her thumb is alittle off, holding the sword in the second picture.

WOW! the first one more so than the second one is blatant. Even the wrinkles on the top are identical. As a matter of fact even the cross hatched shaded areas on the top look identical. Im sure if he had to copy the head on the second one...theres probally a good chance theres another book out there that has the head for the first one.

Really wish more changes were made to make this his own.

Ouch! That is kinda damning evidence. Not that there's anything wrong with a little help from time to time, but that first one is practically most of the pic. I can only reiterate something I have already said about your work ElDavisimo, you'll never learn how to draw the figure from looking at comics. If you want to draw those unfeasably proportioned women so loved by everyone at Top Cow, there's loads of pics of porn stars on the internet to use for reference, at least they are real people...well most of their body anyway If you put in the time, & do your homework, you'll never have to get caught in a position where your only course of action to create a decent image is to copy someone else's work.

WTF? And that got printed in mass pieces? That example manji posted better be yours, else you'll be in sooooooo much shit when you get busted by the original artist. Why on earth would you wanna be a walking copymachine?

oh man. I knew you were dodgy but this is on another level. The only half decent image you post is a trace!!!! Man you suck. This is truly low. Especially for a grown man! Even a young kid starting out would be too ashamed to post this on a forum that is constantly reviewed by pros and comic fans.

On another note..I am worried that someone is trying to train kids with this kind of stuff!

Moved to the lounge, since there's no more "original" art included.

I was going to say last week that it was extremely generic work but didn't, so that I wouldn't start a shitstorm. But I guess the asshat is a cheap trace bitch anyway, so no need for that now.

Use this in the lack of an emoticon, it sums up the feeling pretty well.

    .

We seriously need a monty python emoticon of the spanish inquisition or something of sorts.

The Joker thread is "Worse of CA" worthy in certain aspects too.

According to his sketchbook, he did an Ezra cover for "Arcana Comics" ( http://www.arcanastudio.com/ ). So that'd be a place to start looking at his employment. (the Ezra cover is one of the examples anywho).

So likely one of two things is going on with this guy:

    1. He could be ripping a professional artist's drawings (a quick browse showed no 'works in progress' - just finished sketches that never had corrections). Professional Artist could be linked to the book manji posted from (don't know the name of the book, looks like it'd at least be kinda fun to look at though ).

    2. He could be legitimate, and ripping off the company by INFRINGING COPYRIGHTS (Arcana Comics, and any other patrons) - Arcana seems a bit larger than the HOON incident, so someone might be really pissed at the $$$ that'd cost.

    -----------

I couldn't find any straightforward contact info for the company or I'd probably give them a heads up myself...maybe someone a bit more energetic about digging around for contact info could contact them and provide some of the evidence (and possibly try and contact the artist for that book manji posted pages from)
