Robot in every home by 2020

A Robot in Every Home by 2020, South Korea Says

"Already the most wired country in the world, the Asian nation is merging information and robot technologies to make so-called networked robots—as opposed to ones that operate independently. The new breed of 'bots should be able to do everything from guiding museum visitors to teaching school children English."

By 2022 they will enslave us.

Sweet! Now i get to act as cool as Will Smith and be the rebel who abhors robots, and lives old school, waiting for that time to whip out my shotty and some EMP grenades and rip those robots a new plug hole.

Now, robot Zombies. That would be more fun.

Except for the sexxy robots, they can stay.

You know what? Screw robot housemaids, screw flying Studibakers, screw moving sidewalks! Its two-thousand-fucking-6.. where in the bloody hell is my jetpack?!
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed, The world in arms is not a way of life at all, in any true sense. Under the cloud of threatening war, it is humanity hanging from an iron cross."

The promise of hovercars and robotic housemaids is a promise long overdue, and quite frankly, it's been beaten like a horse into hamburger (or horseburger.)

I say we start thinking about other ways to utilize robotics...like robot prostitutes. I mean, we already have electronic adult toys and sex dolls, and the sex industry has enough money to do as it wishes, not to mention they always seem to be on the ball as far as the next big thing (heh.)

Ever since the movie The Rocketeer I've wanted my own Jet Pack. Robots, although cool, do not compare to the ability to fly wherever the hell I want and not have to worry about traffic... just bird strikes.

What's the fuss? We had Robot in our house for 3 days.. aside from the snoring, smelly feet, unsaturable lust for ass, and a bit of fur, he was a pleasure to have around!

While this may seem like a joke, it's not. Imagine how easy it would be to program a robot to commit crimes. Pilot this vehicle to position X, wait until face Y is recognized, point device in appropriate vector, push button, then selfdestruct.

Perfect alibi, untraceable. This also removes the incentive to not commit crimes cuz you might get caught. When building a robot is as easy as building a computer, this is going to be a real problem.

Oh well, the snoring, smelly feet, unsaturable lust for ass and a bit of fur are some minor flaws in my core system program but once i get my cyber-flux-drawing-generator up and working again i can finally install that new system update i've been longing for so long .

But what a load of crap about "guiding people trough museums" and "teaching englisch to small, irritating brats"......we robot's have better things to do...like conquering the world, eating humanoid creatures....you know....robot stuff

the perfect time to quote an old saying: "to make mistakes is human, but to really fuck things up you need a computer"...

...or a robot in this case... reading this only brings horror scenarios to my mind (i robot, animatrix- the second renaissance, the teminator, nemesis etc. etc. ad infinitum ad nauseam...)

in 2020 at least one house will stay robot-free: mine.. with me packing huge guns and waiting for the cyborg apocalypse

"How do you know you're good enough?" "You know." "What if you're wrong?" "You find out."

    HAW!

    I agree 230%.

Ok, while we're on the subject of housemaids, will these robots have feminine qualities? If so, then what of butlerbots? And how about transgenered robots? I mean, if AI gets to the point where it's aware of what sex it's trying to imitate, will it start to imitate the behavior patterns of that of a transsexual? Could it?

    Ow...my head.

Hahaha, screw robots! I'm gonna breed my children to be robot assassinators. If anything, Will Smith will just be the obsolete prototype of them!
