The creative staff of Big Huge Games is proud to announce Big Huge Games: From Concept to Game, an art show hosted by the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland. If you reside near the Baltimore/Washington/Philadelphia area we invite you to visit the Rosenberg Gallery from September 14th thru October 8th, 2006 (located on the 2nd floor of MICA's newly opened Brown Center). On display will be much of the conceptual work from Rise of Legends. There will also be 3D models, animations, advertising and marketing imagery - with numerous pieces from the fantastic opening cinematic created by Blur. Gallery hours are 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 12:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
(NOTE: Big Huge Games is expanding with numerous art openings available. Check out our jobs post in the ConceptArt.org forum.)
Rise of Legends is considered the spiritual successor to Rise of Nations, Gamespot's 2003 PC Game of the Year. Legends is set in a unique fantasy world where Magic and Technology collide with cataclysmic results. The creative staff drew inspiration from a wide range of material when assembling the world. Leondardo da Vinci, Arabian Nights, Hayao Miyazaki, Stargate, and Kow Yokoyama are just a few of the major influences.
Below is a sampling of the images to be featured in the show.
We hope you enjoy the work!
Sincerely,
The Big Huge Games' creative staff
