    Image labeling

Jamen jag tror att han skäms, och har gömt sig. Vårt universum det är en av dom otaliga spermasatser som Herren i sin självhärliga ensamhet har runkat fram för å besudla intet.

I got 700 points. I was shown mostly pictures of people in groups so 'people' was the first thing my partner and I wrote.

Most of the partners I get are morons ;p

it takes like 10 seconds before the right answer is registered?

    cool game though

I noticed something interesting after playing this. My mind got more active, and not in a good way. More thoughts, more mental noise. Labelling things is the last thing you want to do when you draw. Most of you have probably felt that sense of peace when drawing something from Life, where the mind had ceased to label your subject and what you draw just flows out on the canvas. It also became a bit addictive to play this game, because feeding the mind with more labels of things, that's just what the mind wants and can never get enough of. More labels and structures, instead of seeing things for what they are. Notice how I got the need to judge players as morons who weren't very fast. Thankfully, I became aware of my thoughts after the game because I felt something was off. There should be a warning on this game, especially for artists.

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, that's ok

Man, I was thinking of ways to improve Google Image Search yesterday (I was unsuccessfully searching for some reference), and I came up with an idea just like this! But I couldn't figure out how to motivate people to volunteer to partake in the labelling. I don't know why I didn't think of turning it into a game. My solution to everything is to turn it into a game!

Sounds like a massive mind experiment to me... But I trust google. How can you not trust them... look how nice and colorful their logo is.

Sadly this method means that labels will mostly be very generic, I got a Tomb Raider screenshot, but my partner only knew it was a 'game', and the labels Lara Croft Tomb Raider screenshot etc were lost. The example they use with the Frigate bird is misleading, it'll be ages before two people that are experts in the same area (like birds) meet.

However, their data is still useful for pictures of nature with stuff like trees, rivers, lakes, mountains, cliffs etc.

    Neato,

Prom, I think they will start to rule out the basics - I noticed a few with labels that were off limits. But I can see how this could be detrimental...
