Greg Pro is STILL a paintover MACHINE! New for 2009

Those who don't regularly check out the Sketches & WIPS forum have probably missed some of the most informative posts around here. Greg Pro has been doing some fantastic paintovers that include a ton of information on general principles, not just specifics to the pieces at hand.
    Check 'em out:

It's like everything I need to keep reminding myself rolled into 3 images! Thanks for links Elwell, might not have seen these otherwise. And thanks to Greg especially for taking the time to do these paintovers.

That kind of altruistic selfless teaching is what makes this place worth spending time in. Well done Mr. Pro. Well done.

Agreed, and most of his posts it seems have been helping people. With the crit week thing going on, I'm glad GregPro was recognized. A true contribution to the site (and he only has 10 posts).

No kidding! I'm tempted to bate him with a bad drawing in the SWIPS forum so that he paints over it, and I can turn it in as my LMSII tdome entry! (I don't think Vyle will mind.)

....oh, er,.... did I say that out loud?

I was just kidding.... no really.

Thanks Mr. G!!! Impeccable info, clear and concise!

Nice indeed! makes me feel bad about not being able to post anything, been a bit busy. I got some ideas for stuff I didn't cover in my tut though. The impostance of Lost (Fuzzy) Edges, and differentiation between shadow and light, along with flat shadow values.
