Talking A tough question about contracts

I'm in the process of drafting up a contract between myself and my artist. I've paid the artist to draw 12 images.
All is ok, but I've one intriguing question....

Do I need to do screenshots(or print-outs) of the 12 images he has drawn and attached it to the contract?

Because if I don't, how will everyone know what the images in question is, right(assuming one day, there's a court case)?

Thanks all! Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

never had to do that myself, but I attach images to my invoices. Generally in contracts I've seen and worked with, there is a part at the begining that describes the "work" as being a painting or paintings being comissioned for a specific stated purpose ("to be used as the cover of the novel blah blah whatever" for example)
