Tractor pulling: pure awesomeness, with pics!

Hey guys, just came back from a tractor pulling contest thing, HOT DAMN! has anybody been to one of these before?
At 1st its like. 'aa its kinda kool, that tractors doing a wheelie' then its like, 'hey, thats a pretty big engine, damn, awesome looking american long nosed cab, oo wats that giant shiny roaring thingy?' right up to 'AAHHHHH FUUUCK MY EARS!! OH THERES BLOOD, COMING OUTTA MY FACE AND EARS, BUT I DON'T CARE, BECAUSE THIS IS AWESOME!!!'

Once they get to the higher class tractors with 6 v12 allison engines on them, its start to get interesting real fast... oh and damn noisy, when the guy says 'cover your ears folks, this guy is a little loud' he was not fucking joking its like 'rrrrrraaawwwwwwwwwaaaaaaAAAAABBBBAAAAARGGGGGHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWW WWWRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHAAAAAGGHHGGHRGRGHGHRGRGGGGHHHHHHHHAAAAAARRRRRRRRRG GGHHAAARRRRRRGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHGGGGHHGHGHGGHHGG

Wat an awesome night, shame it was kinda wet, and there was no seats for us. Heres some pics, these are from old shows my mum went too, i'll, hopefully get some new ones from yesterday when she comes back with the cam, though i think she said she accidently deleted them..sniff

    some pics, enjoy

I wonder if some of them just woke up one day and said "You know what, this tractor needs jet engines."

Turboshafts and tractors, I'm in awe right now. Thanks for sharing

Looks awsome!! I once went to see a monster truck show thing and they were HOLY FREAKING louder than I had expected. Its one of those things you really have to see In reality to fully experience.

Thanks for the photos great drawing inspiration!!

So what kind of things did they have to pull? I mean it would have to be 2000 elephants or something up a vertical hill to get most of their power out.

Haha, sounds like something i'd do 'Hmm, I saw a jet engine in that one shop for a tenner..thing i'll hook it up to my wrishwatch....'

Mr.man Glad you find inspiration in them , I'd love to see monster trucks, though I'll bet anything these babies where 10x louder haha, see the 'legend and hero' one, thats been upgraded, got another 2 v12s on it haha.

There was this massive thing called a sledge which used some kinda weight and plough which built up the weight and pressure the farther they got down the track.

I don't know if anyone would see it fit to move to the ref section, I don't know if there's anything like this, or anyone can just add pics of cool car/jet engines/tractors type stuff. If I come across anything worth posting I will do so. feel free to add things, or not, whatever
