In some minute I create this portrait without reference and without a light study only to achieve much more execution speed.

I try to quick paint the last sketch. I'm not satisfied especially in the hair rendering.

Little update. I draw this quick portrait inspired from an old anime series, Capitan Harlock. I tried to redesign the character to make it to seem more real person.

I may not be one to talk, seeing as I have a similair problem that got so bad I simply stopped drawing for months (until yesterday) but despite interesting concepts I think you have a tendency not to throw much emotion into the piece. Alot of these characters, and even you in your SP, come across as detached and static.

I think it's in the lower body not convincing me that it's in tune with the upper body work. I really have come to learn that the stance set in legs is so damn significant in terms of defining the character. Hope that made sense, because all in all I'm a fan of your work.

By the way, do you enjoy working on Smallville?

He who asks is a fool for five minutes,
but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

    Starting over.

Thanks a lot for your critics Klinesmoker You are in truth and I try to correct this problems. Unfortunately after a long stop ( about 4 years whitout take a pencil ) I losed a sense of "life" in my images . I open this SB to find again my enthusiasm, pushed in this from my girlfriend.

Very nice studies and people! You are reall skilled at people and characters. I think the last woman's chin is a little off and you have a little tendency to make your characters a bit caricatural, but I really like your drawings. (edit: oops...it seems you posted before me...I meant the women before this last one)

    Hey Dreamworker!
great characterdesigns you got going here. When you color and make shades, be sure not to use too much of black though, try darker tones of colors instead.
Allso the BGs you got going right now seems a bit flat, and it makes the character flat. Try to create some variaty through colors in the background, often makes a character pop!

Keep it up, bro, making progress!

Nice coloring work on the female figure. I haven't been able to get the subtlety you have in skin tones rendered properly. Maybe its the subtle blues which helped?
