looks beautiful! i find it freaky you draw stuff like that just from imagination!
i love the samurai and the girl in the first post, you could add some shading to her face, especially at the eyes and the mouth (my suggestion would be to make the upper lip a bit darker and add a shadow between the under lip and the chin) but dont get me wrong, it looks great!
So do the selfportraits, quite light and smooth, i like that too. instead of put more dark shades there you could draw the background fairly dark, which would push the look of the face
and have thanks for visiting my sketchbook man, have fun
    ciao

Hey man, really good sketches so far. I really like this one, http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/3...dinowipoe0.jpg
The selfportrait is looking good, you could push the values a lil' more.
    Keep it up
    Cheers

Dreamworker, try to be more relaxed about your work. Being a perfectionist is cool and it helps but dont ever be afraid to make mistakes. I think right now this is actually slowing your progress. Your SP`s are going well but it shows you work incredibly carefull. Try and do 5 or 10 quicker ones and let it rip! Make the worst mistakes and just go go go. Afterwards your SP`s will be a lot more confidant i think. Ofcourse Im only guessing here, i could be right however. anyway, keep going! You`re pretty good at this

i'm with Banshax. your sp's are looking good, but sometimes you gotta let 'er rip. i had the same problem too, i was a little uptight- drawing just one nice thing per page. forget that! fill that page up! draw like crazy! remember, sometimes you just need to sketch- everything doesn't need to be a finished piece. mileage is the key to getting damn good- and don't worry. i know you'll get there
