Just Starting Out: a Student Sketchbook

Hello one and all! My name is Kadi and I'm starting my first semester of Commercial Animation this September. I have taken one year previous to this (straight out of high school) for 3d animation, which semi-cured me of anime, which I am still trying to work out of my drawings.

Thanks for taking the time to look at these, and feel free to comment on anything and everything!

^--There are obvious anatomy issues in this one; I can't WAIT to start Life Drawing again!

^-- characters from a childrens book series I want to write. The girl is Omega "Meg" an alien progigy who built a pirate ship and is travelling time and space to find an able bodied crew. The man in the middle is Rothgar, captain "R" of the night crew.

    and

^-- original character, Sakana. She's goddess of all goldfish and the daughter of neptune.

These are just some recent ones. I'm always trying to improve, and i know I have far to go, so any tips or tricks (especially with cging, i am still woefully inadequate) would be very helpful.

    Thank you!

Here's a character that I designed for a character package.

still working on making stuff more my own and a little more anatomically correct.
