phwoar lovely stuff. the things you try to do from imagination, you try to render too much compared to the life studies, and it doesnt look effective. lovely rendering on the noses, and everything else!

Excellent. It's nice to see the steady progression from the first couple of pages down to the work in the moleskin. The machinery and environment stuff is great to look at as well. I like the one of the guy with the mohawk sitting above the girl, though I can't imagine why The hundred heads thing is a great idea and I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Give us more, love.

layil - the 3rd moleskin from the top (from your 7:22 post) is really interesting to me. it has a conversational tone to it - which is exciting since it's just a quick sketch.

Great sketches, I love the ones from your little moleskin, and the second head from the head activity.

Your proportions for faces/heads are sometimes a little off (occasionally)-maybe use a mirror. Your workload is inspiring and your imagination is great!

wow, so much dedication i see, very cool lifedrawings, i see improvement in everyone of them, really.
I really liked the hand studies, especially the one with the cup and the plate, very nice. Also the moleskin sketches, some of them are very solid.
Keep at this rate and you'll be a badass in no time.
    Cheers

I'm just posting all over your threads.

The first set of hands look great. Nice construction on the one holding the cup good shading and a really nice lineweight to it, though watch the cup itself, it looks a little pinched. The hand holding the saucer looks good, but the fingernail on the index finger is throwing it off a little bit so it looks like it is out of joint slightly.

The second page of hands looks great. Nice sketchwork.

The heads look good. Nice lighting, but watch your faces as they tend to slide a little bit. Throw some guide lines down before drawing in the elements to help prevent this.

It's really good to see you drawing again. Keep going!!

    thanks for the crits!

Draw: yeah, i do, but i still have a hard time not moving my head around! ill try harder.

Diego: thanks man! i intend to keep at it (this time!). the rust comes off pretty quick, you should see an improvement soon!

Grenkahn: thanks, i know the proportion is all off on the hands, ill do better next time. still rusty on the heads, but if i keep at it, itll get better quick...

    *back to the drawing board*
    updates soon!

    Hey sis.

I don't know how long this has been here, but the amount of progress you've shown in this short time is very encouraging. The most encouraging part is the hard work you're doing. I'm not the kind of person who can easily bend myself to drawing pieces of machinery about the place, and always admire those who are.

The pieces in brush pen (?) are really nice. Your ability with shading is getting stronger as well.

I think the ones which I like the most are those showing the clothed model in the first one, especially the one of her from behind. It looks like a softer pencil, and means the shading isn't as kinda harsh. It sometimes seems a bit foreign round these parts, but maybe try charcoal. Actually, that's not from Montreal, is it?

Anyway, great to see such progress so quickly. Kickass

    much wuv

Layil- Hey girl, great to see you posting again, there's some good stuff here. Would love to see more machinery sketches, I think those are some of the strongest. Keep them coming.

Nice! You have some really expressive linework and your proportions (especially the faces) are spot on.

re head 4, haven't seen the ref but maybe check the width of the mouth, seems a little small.
