    Zombie warning!

I had this irritating problem for a while, I wasn´t going to start a new thread about it because I´m not a complaining bitch....how ever I just realized that my problem might be affecting others, so here it goes:

Someone is using my e-mail ( I don´t know how) to send spam, lots and lots of god dammed spam. I know this because I often get error messages saying that the recipient didn´t had enough space...Problem was that I never sent any e-mails to those guys!

Now when this became a much bigger problem you might ask...

Well I got an e-mail from mikecorriero(#)gmail.com....and even an e-mail from conceptart´s web master, all with spam and perhaps troyan viruses and worms ( that of course I didn´t downloaded.)

So what´s the problem? well, if this guy ( s) are making a spam network out of CA.org, then that includes picking up e-mails from the employment section too...And I bet is not nice to have your e-mail account known and blocked as "spam" by Hasbro.....for example.

Now all I can do is remove my e-mails from sight, but even then I bet is already in the bastard spammer´s database...So the lest I can do is tell you to remove your e-mails from your sigs.

What I would like to know is how can I make it stop and how to avoid getting caught up in it again.

    Anyone else had this problem?

    Hey Shamagim,
Sounds like your computer has been "zombified"
Off hand I don't know anything short of a reinstall that would fix it.
There may be some anti spam software out there that might help but sometimes a rebuild/reinstall is better. Good Luck!

Probably, but just to let you know...It seems that CA.org servers have been zombified too, as well as other members, like for example Mike and who knows how many more

Otherwise I woudn´t care enough to make a new thread about it

I've been noticing a huge increase in spam mail latley (From 1 or 2 a week to at least 10-15 a day), although I've never sent out spam...

Doubt mine's anything to do with CA.org

I wonder if it's that "nutty horse-girl" that got the boot a few weeks back who's behind all this? Hmmmm...

Heheheh, no, we can´t blame this on odayga...

I´ve got e-mails from studios and other members too, tho I don´t remember the names and of course I deleted them already....but is a sloppy job, made by a amateur spammer.

I think is a guy who as been spamming this forums for a while ( with the same ip address), he even made up some pointless poems in the lounge.

So far my contact list is unaffected, and this person seems to be collecting e-mails manually, so my guess is that it might be someone who is personally messing with CA.org
