Sketchdump 2. Cori. The power armor sketch was based off this GINA variable car. I think I posted a vid of it a while ago, on my Blog (I think). I'll have to expand on that idea later. More images are on my Blog, I only pulled 3 of the 8 or something for this post.

First picture of this update... top right... that one looks cool!

As far as Cori goes... has she always been that busty? :0
And I can spot your Iron Man influence on that other one.
    But regardless, cool as usual.

Yep, she's always been super busty.

I uploaded two more parts to the dump on my Blog, I'm too lazy to post here.

A pair of videos of me painting one of the books I'm working on. The first one is a very, very crappy vid in terms of quality, but it was my first time creating a movie...ever.

Hey nice coloring! Is there a third part to the series that shows the completed work?

I was complete at the end. That piece was finished. The book, however, is not done.

Been a while since I posted something. I'm thinking of moving to a new thread, I dunno.

I've got a ton of drawings that need scanning and uploading but I've been putting that chore off for a while.

Here are some video links. The bunny stuff was for a children's book.

    || You graduated from CCS? I would expect better quality from current students, let alone graduates. To be honest, I currently attend CCS (from DASH) and have many friends in illustration who key point of design is anatomy. I think you have much work to do with your figures and character development. There are many fundamental violations in your sketches, perspective, rendering, line quality, etc. etc. that a graduate of CCS should have mastered (in illustration even!).

WOW, word of advice: keep sketching and develop to become a stronger artist, AFTER you go back to the basics, which you didnt seem to master, even attending CCS. :-/

What violations? You need to point something out for me to work on it. Remember what a critique is supposed to do. It's to help, and help comes from pointing out mistakes and giving suggestions.

And, I should also note, that not everyone had the benefit of DASH. I knew some DASHers, and I'm not trying to insult you personally, but I only knew one who understood how an average artist grows up outside of an art community. Comparatively, I've roughly half the schooling the average DASH student has had. (This is only counting actual art school hours, not extracurricular experience. IE work experience.)

Also, as a side note, this is something I recommend to most ID students I meet (and most students, but it's mainly ID, as it happens). Keep the 'tude under control. It's something annoying and tiresome to see in students. I wish someone told me that 2+ years ago, since I had a huge attitude back then.

    Lateman
Thanks! I'm still working on color in digital stuff (and digital stuff, in general). I've never been good with color and it's something I have to go out of my way to try and use.
    Still practicing.

    Thanks for the comments!

The awesome turtle, a speed painting.

I think on my version the snout is a little long, but that's ok.

Well I wish I could go back to see the old site/design. If I remember it was black and white high contrast with an angular shape like the current layout. Not a huge fan of either but I def like the b@w color scheme better myself.

That being said the nagivation is easy.

Check your galleries, they don't seem to load correctly. The thumbtails take forever to show up. Not sure if you're manually coding those but it seems like its some sort of a plugin.

The site honestly looks great! I love the 'technological' design you have going on! Although I have to agree about the galleries section with n1va. They take a minute to load... even on the school's T3 line.
Great advice on your website about studying everything -- past and present -- I think we could all benefit from that.
One thing I would suggest to you, is to try doing a refresh of the old stuff when you get a chance. Try doing some pencil work again. And really study value in your work. I've been doing a bit of studying with how digital works. And I think everyone could benefit from learning value in pencil work. It might help your digital work

How did the sale go the other day? I remember talking to you on AIM about it... Sorry I haven't been getting on at all anymore. School has kept me incredibly busy with everything non-drawing related. It saddens me... lol
Either way, we'll have to get back together on openCanvas or something sometime and try out working on some stuff together? Or perhaps having a draw-off just for shits and giggles And then posting our work. I'll have to get back to you once the semester is over for some awesomeness...

    Anyway, cya later mangs

The loading is the crappy-ish server I'm on. Well, at least the price is right (free). It's not a plugin or anything, it's just normal images. I've been meaning to move everything to another server (GoDaddy probably), it's just that I've got to transfer everything right so I don't break the links to images I've posted about the internet.

What browser are you using? Sometimes that influences the way CSS code works. I need to work out the kinks on sub-pages and stuff.

    Matte_Art
I've been drawing with traditional media to a stupidly high degree. I'm just really lazy with scanning. It's probably my least favorite thing to do in the world.

That sale thing hasn't happened yet. It's on the 6th of December. I'll post the artwork the week-of or the week-after.

    Thanks guys!

    I updated my blog's design too: http://www.wolflog.com

    Hey again,
I actually use Firefox mostly, esp when browsing these forums. I recently installed chrome on my old machine too and I like it. I don't think it was a css issue, maybe the speed is a factor though because they'd load eventually...

If you want a good free host with an already set up template you should try wordpress.com

I have a test blog there myself, I set it up a long time ago for the API key which is used by some wordpress plugins. You can check it out here:

    http://eternalseven.wordpress.com/

It's very easy to get going on it if you give it a couple of hours. It's not like your own wordpress install, you can't configure the back end too much, like modify the php files and load your own css. But like you said, price is right and they give you 3 gigs of storage. Unless you experience joy out of tinkering with those items (like I do) I highly recommend it.

    I hate Wordpress.
    HATE IT.

Thanks for the tip anyways. I'll stick with Blogger and normal server based websites. I know how CSS works on those.

I'm fine with the server now and I think I know the issue. Need to re-optimize the thumbnails, I think.

CSS in wordpress works the same as anywhere else Beo. IMO it's the strongest publishing platform out there. I've never heard someone say they hate it, I personally love it.

Anyways, if you're happy with what you got going no worries.

In 2009, I'm going to start my drawing/uploading cycle again. I fell behind on it and haven't really posted stuff on the internet, but I'll be starting it up again soon, along with some new comics and junk.

So, 'til then, here's a Fire Breathing Duck.

Here are the images of my Holiday cards. I did them all in Photoshop, each took about a day and a couple hours to do. Links to follow if you wanna buy some of them.

I also have stats for the Treant, Santa, Zombie Rudolph, and the Snowman Elemental. I'll upload those later.

I ended up not using the dragon on the sliegh. I drew it too poorly.

Ok, I understand CA wanting to help artists with this Orphaned works thing, but I hate filing out genre/media/etc. crap when uploading art. It's annoying. Not to sound like a negative ass, but I don't like that.

    Hey Beo,
Good updates, nice to see you're posting again.

The xmas monsters are especially good, IMO your best post on this entire SB so far.

Getting back in the swing of things with a quickie.
Tried to do a character in a shapeless black cloak.
Her face and hair were rushed and done lazily.
