    As stated above...

I've started into a very polished portrait tonight. A couple hours of work so far, mainly getting the positions and sizes correct. It's a work-in-progress, so more to come. There are several tweaks here-and-there I'm seeing as I post it, along with some color work, and of course, some refinement.

Now, I'm resting my eyes from it until tomorrow~ish.

the bottom lip is usually wider than the top. the collarbone is shaded too intensely i think, & those neck bones or whatever their real name is i have no idea, dont stick out hardly at all.
youve got some really great poses in here, very dynamic & makes things interesting to look at. keep it up! =)

Very nice work with the digital piece! I like the hair a lot. I know it's still a WIP but I think her chin is a tad on the small side. Can't wait to see the next updates

The upper lip is wider than the lower. If you mean wider, heightwise, than it varies person to person. In her case, since she's a recurring character, I usually have her lower lip large. I still have to tone the collarbones (clavicle) down, too.

    darkchild
Yep, I think I'm going to tone down her lips a bit. That'll be in the final version (not the one posted here).

    Thanks guys!

Here's another update. More to come.

I did this mainly for a test of the hair. Her proportions are off a little, but I can let it slide.

My only crit is that the way she's looking back there should be some more folds on the neck indicating the severe turn of the head. Right now if I hadn't scrolled down far enough and stopped right past the neck I would've thought it was the front. But since you did this for the purpose of hair I'd say maybe a bit more variation in midtones kick it from anime-ish to realistic. I hope I haven't offended

No offense taken, I'd actually like more crits, especially useful ones like that.
Her neck and back need more work. Wrinkles for the head turn, shoulder blades, maybe some muscle definition as well.

Since I did it from reference (something I do only occasionally, and it wasn't that detailed in terms of anatomy, the photo was washed out from the flash), I zonked out a bit on some details that may have normally shown up. Plus it's a pure Photoshop piece, something else I'm trying to get used to doing.

Here's the portrait I've been working on for a while now. I'm calling it done, mainly because I can't work on it anymore and make new changes. I just keep battering it down, so before I go to far, I'm gonna add it to the "finished" folder.

I guess this is a WIP for now. I gotta add a background and tweak the figure a bit.
    I'll resume later.

Number 2 in the WIP. Started the background. I'll continue this later. I don't know if I'm going to go to color, though. I think I'll make it look good in B/W, then Colorize it, if I need to.

    More to come.

nice stuff, you seem to be graspingthe digital stuff fairly well. One let down though is your skin tone, they all look abit bronze and monotone, try introducing subtle greens and blues into the skin. It really brings it to life.

    Thanks Twisted!
Thanks kyle! I will try to make skin tone more realistic in the future.

Well, here's the finished B/W image. I think I'll try color and posted based off of how I feel about it. If there are any tweaks that are obvious fixes, please bring them to my attention.

Here's the process for Beonarri's armortypes. I have the BW start, 1 Light Armor which is his basic costume, and 1 medium armor. It's still missing somethings, a couple of accessories here-and-there, along with some overall tweaks and adjustments. Those two lines are for his sword and dagger.

    More to come.

Here's an update. I fixed his leg, since lots of people were bothered by the forced perspective. I've also added a new medium type armor to the set. A bit of black and neon-ish green.

Here are some anatomy studies from a week or so ago. I was having trouble remember the back muscles, so I went and drew them. Peck was the reference book I used.

Also, I've added some Alternate designs to my website. One was inspired by Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and follows with the theme. The other is a very simple, barebones version. I think it has two actual images to load on it (not counting Gallery stuff).

    Here are the links:

Some pirate girls. One is a standard pirate chick, the other is heavily into body modding. So, she has some horns, no eyebrows, a folding thumb on each foot, a reinforced ribcage, and some back spines. I should post those sketches some time.

    Fire mage in leather...again.

Some gestural dance drawings, each was about a minute of quick sketching, probably less.

Also, the body mods for that pirate girl from the previous update.

Warm tones, lots of little reflected lights, somewhat overworked. Yep, that's a cover of Heavy Metal, which I used as an inspirational basis for this one. Just imagine the Heavy Metal logo between her and the tree.

If anyone sees anything amiss, please point it out.

The poses come outta the ol' noggin, usually. With the dance stuff, I used heavy photo reference and drew them almost like figure drawings.

Here's another. A similar process was used, by taking a pencil down in real life and painting over it. I'm calling it Cori Williams - AH! because it was based off of an Adam Hughes picture of Boba Fett. I also have more variations and process stuff on my Blog, but I like this one the most.

Here's a photo-manipulation. I took one of my friend's photos from here: http://photoshoptechniques.com/forum...ad.php?t=25242 and turned it into two streaking by spaceships.

Very quick cloud brush action with a little light play.

Using one color or tone simplifies things immensely, and it doesn't take away from the over all artistic-ness of a piece.
    Thanks!

A Pallas Athena based painting. A couple things should be more brush stroky, maybe I'll redo that part later.

I did this one in about a hour-and-a--half. I probably would've had it done much faster, except her nose gave me lots of trouble.

A quickie. Very rough. Did it for a Fark photoshop thread. Not pretty or clean, but quick.
