    Kids Paint Elephants

I was at the Calgary Zoo again yesterday. They're makign a HUGE new elephant house. The design of it is crazy. But anyways..in front of the construction site there were all these elephant paintings done by grades 3 - 6. Some of these are really cute. Thought you might like to see these.

But speaking of the zoo. I have a new favorite animal, the Red Panda

    Anyways, enjoy.
/EDIT There's quite a bit more, but imageshcack is giving me problems. I'll upload later.

    these are fucking awesome!
a few years ago i bought my ex an elephant painting... that is, a painting actually done by an elephant. it was awesome. i believe the elephants name was Rasha...supposedly the only painting elephant that actually steps back and looks at what she's done before making a new mark. pretty cool.

could you post it? I'd love to see it. Sounds awesome

Interceptor- Some of these look really great. Speacially firts and on yellow BG-one. No wonder Picassos later paintings resembled children's works.

Yeah, that elephant is from this zoo The Calgary zoo also has 'Spike" the elephant with the metal caps on his tusks, because his tusks were splitting.

And here is the art gallery for the zoo's curent painting elephant, Kamala.

Those actual elephant paintings are cool, but you've really gotta wonder how they named them

Yeah, the same one jumped out at me too. It's really good for the age bracket.

I love those paintings by the elephant as well. Although the names are pretty ridiculous. Hang 10? Does the elephant like to surf?

Red Pandas look a bit like "Tanooki" Mario.

    Just an observation.

A little piece of personal insight.

    Treasure it.

I was there a month ago and saw that stuff, Interceptor! Stupid construction at the elephant house made the animals hard to see, but the kids' art was cool. The red pandas were asleep when I was there, but you seem to have gotten quite a good shot.

My favourite are always the musk oxen
