Faxtar. outstanding work. how many paintings do you do in a day? do you set time limits for any of your works?
well, very interesting pieces, well lit, and emotions well captured.
Great studies. Your digital portraits are full of emotion. Great work overall!

I think your studies are really good. Very clear understanding of shape, form and lighting. However, I feel that you are very weak in constructing your own figures without reference. Try to practice building your heads from basic shapes as shown in Loomis' figure book. Also, Bridgeman's life drawing may be helpful as well for drawing the body using construction methods.
My sketchbook is here
Treks: Thanks, no real time limits, most of the oil portraits are 3hrs long just because thats how long the painting class was.
Lone Wolf: Thank you!
softocean: Thanks, drawing the figure from my head is something I have been working on. I have done some Bridgeman studies, I should probably do more though.
Heres some more stuff...

Awesome sketchbook! I really like the figure studies, you a have strong sense for good value design. Keep posting!
Hey all, I just made a post in the CC section with some new art, check it out here, http://conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=121006
Also here is my entry for LMS. Its beauty and the beast, I illustrated this part from the the story "When Belle returns to the Beast's castle late, she finds him dying in his rose garden, his broken heart killing him." (from the wiki entry) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beauty_and_the_Beast I figured his castle should be dieing as well, breaking into small pieces that fly into the sky and being over run by fast growing plants. Beast is based on the mythical creature The Manticore http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manticore (Edit: Added a concept sketch I did for the beast)

very good work on the life-drawings/paintings. Do some more and I think your concepts will become better, too.
Theres lots to see and lots to learn from this sb. The portraits are strong in you.
Great job.
I really love your oils, especially this one . The strokes on the forehead are just flawless. Also I love the way your eye looks in your self portrait. My crit for today would be that on a couple of these you should have spent a tiny bit more time getting the structure perfect before moving into rendering. this is a good example where the womans left eye is too low. Just keep up this pace and you'll fast improve. The LMS piece is excellent too.
Oh, an i got you up to 5 stars. It would be cool if you could check out my sb sometime also.
Great sketchbook so far! I really like the watercolors, you should do more of them. Imagine how this thread going to look like with 40 pages more. That allways keeps me going. Anyways, great studies, and keep it up!
cheers

ps.5*
Cepro:: Thanks, very true, you can never do enough life drawing.
DoctorPencil:: Thanks, I enjoy doing portraits.
Miles_:: For that peice with the strokes in the forehead I had a lot of help from EM Gist one of my teachers at Watts Atelier. I worked on that painting in one of his classes for two and a half hours and then he came in with a brush full of turp and made the peice ten times more awesome in about 10 minutes.
Frank:: Thanks, yep just got to keep plugging away.
Here is some more stuff, gray scale style. Hands and feet studies. A character I designed for a story I made up about a detective in a future where computers are capable of reading memories. And a post apocalypse wasteland type environment with and girl and a black cat.

Wow... The portraits and figures are just lovely. Really fucking splendid. Great job!
Also, wow, I didn't much care about the bad wolf in the earlier post, but this latest one has really won me over. Simple, but elegant.
