This is my first photoshop painting with a wacom tablet, and probably my fourth or fifth overall. I've mostly done 3D art before this, so I don't really know what kind of things I should be paying attention to. Looking for critique on technical and design aspects, thanks.

the throne looks kindof flat to me, maybe define the form more clearly by using some perspective and basic shapes? Dig the shadows deeper and crisper.

Maybe it's my monitor, but this is really dark.
I'm not sure about the composition. What are you gonna add to the right? He seems really lonely and a bit floaty. A background would balance that out. You picked all sorts of muted colors, but because of the black bg, it all disappears. You don't really have a lot of variety in the values atm.
So, push your colors and values, so it looks less flat. Watch your lightsource, don't use pure white to highlight the lamp. Don't shade with black. It seems like a really intense light, so it could hit more then just his head. I wished you showed this throne from the front, that would be a whole lot more interesting to see.
I dig the reliëf thing on his chair and the vegetation.
