enough with the kicking of ass!!

(no, not really, I'll just add all the new pictures to my folder of masochism)

it's not just how consistently good the work is, but there just so damn much of it! I also really like how some of the texture files are right from the concept paintings (ritualists, etc)

FUCK! This is proof that I simply haven't done anything of real substance in my professional life.

Okay, I think the only way to really learn from all this amazing work is to print all this stuff up and rub myself all over with this amazing collection of work.

    That's not weird, is it?

D Dociu - i've been an ardent admirer of your artwork for a while. Could you elaborate how you approached the detailing of the Petrified tree b&W image?

No major secrets to share. I just block in the big shapes and then do a lot of cheap cut and paste from photo reference. last I do some painting on top of it to unify the whole thing, if I still feel like it. In this particular case I got kind of lazy and ended up cutting corners big-time.

I don't know what to say. This work is just amazing. Some day I will find the confidence to post some work up here that would be worthy to be linked beside this work.

I think I've looked at this thread multiple times each day for the last week, so much great work, so many styles. very impressive!

just a quick question - how long? how long does it take to create these pieces tinfoil? I mean sometimes I look at them and think shit it looks like he just whips them up and yet they look so good, then I look at the textures and the detail hidden away and it leads me to believe each piece takes a while to create... how long is a while?

thanks again for sharing the work... I couldn't be more inspired!
