    hey man, i hope you don't mind but i did a bit of a po of that last dude...you quit irc before i could show you. I know this is meant to be a muggy sort of not much light scene, ao just take the brightness with a grain of salt. I just wanted to show how you can get way more depth when you throw some defined light on your guy rather than just sort of uh...not :? Cause the chest in this pic to me seems really flat, and just adding that bit of light helps to define the form and fool you into thinking it's got depth. I think thinking about light a bit more will help you alot with your pics...just chuck a new layer on overlay and pick a light color and have a bit of an experiment.

    anyway enough of my crazy 3am ranting, i need some sleep.

    I have to disagree with war's PO unfortunatley, it brings the character too much out of his environment, even if he does pop-more. Perhaps put some hue shifts in the armor, twoards yellow or blue perhaps (very slight, nothing completley noticeable) so he will pop a bit, but don't make him radically outstanding.

    I had really liked where the step before this was going; but here are some crits;

    Alot of the elements don't seem to be in 3d, or at least not indicative of the form;The shoes ARE, but the Shoulder pad doesn't seem to be. Also the mask seems to be out of perspective. His sheild arm looks sort of broken, and the farther part of the sheild (the inside) draws a parallel edge with the front of it, maybe want to throw a bit of unevenness in there?

    Excellent crits Justin, there was a lot of issues for that dude. I'll make sure to correct the drawing side of the pic before slapping on the paint like a madman.

    Very nice work Sloth. I love the paintings and the aztec theme. What do you plan on doing as a career in art? Or do you just do art as a hobby?

Damn, that last one is really cool, I cant belive you dont getting any comments in here, ohwell, you use to get pretty much feedback in the Community activities / Tdomes that I guess its unnessesary to post twice with same info ?
Great work man, although, tip is to work on your anatomy, you already got nice colours [NEVER USE PURE BLACK THOUGH!] and you probably know that, so just keep it up!

P.S I just got this wonderful book called "The skillful huntsman" and they are
all starting out with thumbs, both for designs, and for the shapes/forms, maybe you should try that ? now it looks like those drawings that comes out from abstract objects ? right ?

    that last one rocks dude!
    I like where your going, and the digital is getting really good.
    Id suggest slowing down and refining more, because a lot of it looks a bit rushed.
