While pretty funny, it doesn't seem to really be much of a caricature to me...it's more just like a portrait with slightly warped proportions. Everything, I think, is still too "exact-to-the-photograph". You've even got the *exact* same highlights and shadows going on, when if the face was more "caricature'd", the highlights and shadows wuld be radically different.
The last thing is that the body and hat, and virtually everything else about your version doesn't seem to have any caricaturization to it at all. That also makes the picture kinda "miss the mark" for me, when considering it as a caricature...because the only thing that seems to be warped at all is the face...and it's barely warped at all.
Given all that, I think you got the values down great, as well as the rendering. I think if you just kicked the entire thing up a few notches and really warped things more, it would look really great.

Ya you are right for sure. I consider it a more subtle caricature. Its my style of one anyway. I like the "realistic but not" sort of characters.

it is good work overall. i think it may be even more impressive if you changed it to a portrait. you've got great skill - JAG
it's only after you've lost everything, that you're free to do anything..

Its a really well done piece..I just wish you would take it all the way as a caricature..I just feel that you could have emphasized some distinguishing traits of Bruce W's face more to balance the face out a bit as Fireflights said. Great rendering nonetheless.
