    Yeah I was Polski Artysta, I was just trying to spread the word. Sorry for no critiques right now, I spent way too much time just trying to upload all my crap. Will check back though for sure.

    I stumbled upon your sketchbook recently, and your progress from when you started is amazing! I'm loving your digital work. I'm thinking of going to Cambrian College myself - would you mind commenting on the facilities / teachers / whatever? I'm having a hard time finding information about it.

    Keep up the good work!

    So I took AndreasM's advice and did a longer study, a Bouguereau in pencil which took way too long;

    Cover for... you know what I don't even know what it's for. It was done for lpj design and is an homage to a Jim Lee cover;

    Both of those covers are alright I guess, but neither reflect the type of art I want to make. I think I'm going to try to push myself to create more of the style seen in the musical guy at the top of the page; more loose and textured, rather than the plastic sort of rendering I have now...

    Good stuff dude, I think with some more textures added to these pieces they'd lose the plasticy feel you think they have. Cheers though, good stuff!

    Hey man, you probably don't know me but you gave me an INCREDIBLY DEEP comment on my SB, and I gotta say I'm a bit moved, so I came to check you out ;D

    1st off, thank you SO MUCH for your comment. It was so insightful and deep and must've taken a ton of time to write, so I just want to say I REALLY appreciate your help, I have never encountered such help before and I loved it.

    I have checked out your sketchbook a bit and it seems like you have definitely improved zounds since your first pencil sketch posts. Anyway, I had a few questions. Are you still currently in school for art (if not, what do you do for a living, are you working as an artist?) I myself is finishing up my electrical engineering degree as a back up but am very actively pursuing my dream of concept art (hehehe..guess I should've went to art school too). And, the images you posted in my SB, where did you get the ref pictures, and do you have a suggestion for a really good anatomy book to buy?

    Again, thank you so much man, I'm definitely keeping an eye on you ;D. Looking to see more from you, and feel free to advise my novice ass on my SB too anytime. See you around.

    Holy hell! Can I come and live in your head?

    Love your landscapes and the details in your illustrations are awesome! Specially like the last Wizards of the Coast one. Btw, how long you been working professionally? and did you just send stuff in till you got hired? (I'm hoping to get some stuff out to magazines next year but not sure if the games industry would be a good idea too)

    Only crit is you seem to have some foreshortening issues with your figures and some limbs look a bit rubbery but a bit of Bridgman study might help with that (sorry if I'm repeating past advice)

    These studies are great. Your use of texture on skin is what's getting my attention, since I'm still struggling to paint realistic skin tones. Not much critiques on my part, but keep it up.

    Been half a year since my last visit (sorry) and there have been some GREAT improvement! Especialy with faces and colours I must say. I can suggest you to try out and build faces of different build and look and age and race, this will help a lot in creating more different and intresting faces.

    From first to last is a big improvement.
    When I started to draw themes and skins I had to break away from perspectives and it is not easy to get that back, so stay with it and keep up the good work.

    MishaArt Thanks
    Angel Intheuk There aint much to see in my head. Just norse warriors and nude people. As for working "professionally" - hah. Not much professional about the work I've done;

    Since early summer last year I've had a fairly even trickle of low-paying work for small publishers. I got the WOTC and gun metal games work through a 3rd party (online artists group) but I still haven't been paid for it. my personal definition of professional is living off the work you do. I'm nowhere near there.

    Thanks for the crit! I've been noticing for a while that I can draw individual body parts decent enough, but my attempts at natural poses fall very short. Tried to help that with the newer studies.

    vatteh Thank you!
    LORD M Good call, I seem to be making the same faces over and over (I do try to do studies of faces that vary a bit but I think I need to stop drawing just white people for a while)
    Jazz Thanks a lot Jazz
    TASmith Ah don't do that. I'm not quite there yet. Thanks
    dose Thanks Tim! How are the classes going?
    AChipps Thanks
    ------------------------------

    Once again, not enough work done for the time I've been gone. There was an unusual amount of "fodder" this time, poopy half-sketches and such. Things not worth showing. What did happen was my tablet went on the fritz prompting me to get back into pencils more (which I think was a good decision) recently though with the help of some magic spray it's come back. Not quite to 100% but good enough to get stuff done.

    SOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOD.
    Man your workload looks insane, so much improvement.
    With some of your paintings, occasionally they look like they could read a bit better if there was better contrast. I think its to do with the brightness/contrast.
    Your darker ones like this one seems to be very readable. Just like the second WOTC is better than the first. lots of white and brighter colours makes things a bit flat. Maybe more blacks? and dark saturates?
    Not too sure but I thought i saw a pattern. Something for you to think about.

    Keep up the amazing work though man, really enjoyed looking through the last couple of pages.
