I was wondering where you were! I had trouble with my thread this morning as well. Maybe you can get the admins to merge both these threads. But this is an awesome start to you new SB. I like this piece a lot because it looks a like it could be a cover to a comic book. Good pencils.... I was wondering, does Spidey only have 3 legs coming out from behind him? The shield is a bit mishapened, specifically the top left side, looks a bit flat compared to the overally roundness. Great work, please keep posting!

Darkchild: Yeah the new suit is gold and red and three arms can come out of his back, the arms can go in and out of this sphere pod thing on his back.

Well here is another new spiderman swinging into action but i messed up on the shape and what should be large and small on this. I still think it looks good and hope you post something.

Well here is just some sketches of some faces

The studies are looking pretty good; keep them coming. They (along with your other drawings, for that matter) look like you rushed through them. If you take your time when you draw from reference, you'll learn a lot more from it.

    Keep crankin' stuff out.

still not the bird i will post that in a couple mins but for now here is my verison of logan/wolverine, i was going to make smoking a cigar but i gave up on that. I still think it looks good without it and i like the natural look of the claws better than the metal verison.

thank you thank you very much?!

Nice pencil work and shading. I would suggest taking peices of anatomy one at a time and working on them. Body builder mags do wonders for referencing super hero muscle groups. Keep it up!!

Silvestri99: thx yeah i've been trying to draw more from life and work on my anatomy to build my skills, but other ideals run them over and pushed aside and all that stuff. I think i'll do some drawings from life today and some more muscles sketches, but first i need to sleep so see you guys about 2 in the afternoon. Wait a minute here is that bird drawing i drew for my friend i told you about i think it looks ok but i want to know what you think.

Hey there nice to see you still working at it. Wanted to comment, Wolverine's claws are a bit thick. That's a pretty wicked bird sketch. I'm not too sure whats coming off the wings though. Is it flames... feathers? Anyways, nice work with the perspective, shows in the head. Keep drawing

    Evil Eye of DOOM!!!

Darkchild: thx for stopping by, the stuff falling off of it is like a flame/ash deal, there was more than i could fit on the paper so i had to cut it off. Below it's feet was his tail, and like arms of ash and flames reaching up for the bird. Well here is some study of an eye i found on google, the cool looking eye said draw me draw me cause im cool. Then it said hey Bob make that bitch get in there and make me some blueberry pancakes. (moment from roadtrip) I did another study but it wouldnt upload at the moment so i gave up and will post it later.

I'm liking the last 2 psots. Good studies I don't have any big crits other than to work on your shading a bit... and to keep working on them studies. Then incorporate what you've learned back into your characters. Keep it up

cool stuff dude, that 15 minute life study looks good, definately dig into that loomis book, he's the bomb, i've been reading up on his "how to draw heads"; that book is brilliant. Also, the thing that helps most people in learning anatomy rather than just looking at muscles and drawing them, is learning where the muscles insert and attach to the bone and what muscle sits under or on top of what. anyway, good luck, keep on truckin

Well here are some more studies, the first is just some face studies, then a girl's face, and last is suppose to be alexis bledel but it didn't turn out that great. I think that i kind of messed on each of them in different way but like they say you learn from your mistakes. After i seen that i messed up on the drawings of the girls i just stopped drawing them and that is why they aren't finished. All comments and crap are welcome as always.

Very nice hand studies! On your portrait work, remember to observe what makes that face unique to that person, ie, face shape, markings, eye shape, hair, etc... Your portraits will start to bear likeness. Keep working on it! I'm still trying to unlock the secrets of portraits as well

Darkchild: thx, yeah i really not focusing on drawing faces at the moment just got bored. I need to learn the muscles in like the legs and how to draw feet and hands better first.

Well here are two sketches i did this morning, i dont have a pencil so i had to use pen. The first is hellboy smoking, and the second is Dr. DOOM, i think they both look cool with the fact its in pen.
    Sorry about the size?!

Hey man, I notice you go over the same line a lot which destroys your line quality. When doing life studies and anatomy book studies take your time, draw lightly, and make sure the lines you put down are in the correct spot.

Sorry about not posting in a while i started a band type thing with a few buddies and been playing my bass more than drawing lately. Plus my image hosting site erased half of my sketchbook i see, because they dont direct link anymore. So i had to find a new image hosting site that i could use to post stuff, since iimageshack.us doesn't work for me and theimagehosting.com doesn't direct link anymore. Owell, i found a new image place so here is a drawing of nocturne and sunfire from exiles in marvel comics. I think i messed up on the faces and some other small things but whatever.
Hope you like it and all that crap and hope you reply with something helpful.
ok finally the image works so here it is.

More sketches i found some older sketches so i though i would post them for you to see, with some new ones i did in the past few days.

The first is michael jordan, my favorite basketball player, the second is the fable character, and last is just some soldier dude, all of them i drew about two years ago.

The next one is my crappy verison of hellboy, then some hulk sketch, and finally a character design i made of some samurai. Well thats about it for now.
