Hey 2nd page!! Great work on the Lohan piece. Great to see you step back take a look and fix the curvature of her body. What I noticed the most was the nice light hitting he chest and midsection. Great work with that and the fold in her shirt. If you refine this piece again add another range of value to her hair. If you look at the original photo, where her hair parts is a dark spot but to the immediate left and right are bright patches from the light. But the rest of the left hand side is darker in value. Adding a touch of shading to the left side of your sketch would add a bit more depth to the hair. Great work! Hope to see more like this!

ok this all i got for now, the first is sam and twitch from the self titled comic, tom cruise as the last samurai, which was a cool movie,(wish i could have been a samurai!), then a micheal turner wolverine drawing i had to do for class, for muscle studies. I'm finishing up the drawing of angelina jolie i got back from school, and may post it later tonight. If not i will post it tomorrow, because i got the movie flyboys and am going to watch it. Thanks for looking and hope that you liked it.

    Until next time.

Ok, not much this time, sorry about slowing down on the updates, busy.
Darkchild: Hey, man thx for stopping as always, yeah the last samurai thing i did a while ago, but my teacher had a hold of it, so i couldnt post it. It took a while because i spent time on it while students came in to visit the class.
Ok today is blade and that angelina jolie i told you about. For jolie i know the waist is kinda smaller than it should be, but i was more focused on getting the face right. I will also put the ref i used for jolie for compare.

Hey nice work with your last post. The Blade pic was great. There's some slight proportion issues but you've got some great tone and details. The Jolie pic is good but could be better. I do like the nice lines and you did an excellent job on the face But again, need some more tone. I hope you don't mind but I did a paint over for you. If you want me to remove this let me know. The lighter red lines indicate softer rendering and the darker hard red lines designates darker pencils. The original photo may appear light to you but if you really look at it you missed a ton of light tones. You only portrayed the darker shadow spots. Add a bit of light pencil to those areas first then go over the darker spots with some more pencil... for example the spine and back of the arm. Great work so far, keep up the awesome work!!

Hey, you seem to be improving a lot, your work is encorparating a lot more detail towards the later posts, thats great. I probably like your Last Samurai one the best so far, its cool that you keep drawing things from films and stuff just don't forget that a little studying into anatomy and stuff will help you in your confidence in strokes and proportions. Keep on drawing man, your work is looking really good!

When it comes to hot chicks, there's never a complaint from me Get rid of that shadow behind her head and shoulders. Makes her look off proportion until you stare close and realize it's a shadow.

Darkchild: thanks, yeah i erased that shadow, i noticed that too after i stepped back and looked at it. I need to start looking at my drawings more before i put them on here.

Well today is just a drawing of the coolest comic book character ever, the Punisher. I think im going to start to try and do one of the things im told alot and try and start putting backgrounds in all of my drawings. I thought about this because even though the drawing is good i hear alot that it would just be so much better with a background.

Very striking last post! Very nice shadows and pose. I like that fact that you didn't over do the muscles. You let him look more natural and not beefed up on steroids. Good work with the shoulder holster and gun grip. I think this is one of your best pieces so far Great work keep it up and I hope to see some work with backgrounds soon.

Hello again, another punisher this time, sorry again about the no background, it just i tried to draw this thing like 5 or 6 times before this messing with the face and failed. I got the face as close a possible and just wanted to finish the drawing. It mainly forever because of the shading, but i got some new pencils from my teacher to try out on my next drawing. First i've got a small box of extra soft, extra black layout graphite (words right off the box) then i have Mars Lumograph 8B, 6B, 7B, and 4B pencils. I hope i will improve the look of my work with new drawing crap. If anyone has anything that they use that has really improved their drawing, please feel free to tell about it maybe where i can get.

Hey cool pose for the Punisher. Very nice tone to this one. Was this ref'd or out of your head? Either way nice work. I can see you already have your own unique style of rendering. Remind me of cell shaded work, but with pencil. Keep refining it!

The first is daredevil that i drew then messed around with photoshop, and coreldraw. The second is a cover for a comic i made for fine arts day, it more about the design, the picture isn't my it is from the artist Gavin Hargest, if anyone has a problem me using his picture, please tell me i will remove it. I didnt think it would hurt though because it was based more on the design of the comic. I have the drawing of daredevil on my computer but for some reason it wont load.

The Silencer comic cover is very striking! The nice dark mysterious figure off to the right is cool. But the figure is a bit too dark that it stands out as bit unfinished. Try adding bit of highlights to the edges of the figure to make it seem like he/she is within the background. Both seem separated. Nice work, looking forward to more!

But the good thing is that i started again. This one is Nina, a girl from my school that drew because she wanted to draw a cartoon verison of her.

Hello i thought i would start my sketchbook back up with a few drawings, start looking and posting on this site again. All i have for now is two sketches of some girls faces, then a pen sketch of the punisher. I have more drawing but they are too big to scan so i will use my camera to put them on here in a little bit. Until i hope that you like the update.

Yeeeeah last samurai! good fuckin flick.
For the drawing of Lindsay Lohan, if you look at her eyes in the picture, her eyes are much squintier, and her eyelashes go more out instead of up. When drawing celebrities, since they're faces that are known, you gotta pay attention the most to the face, which direction the eyes are pointing, the shape of their nose & lips, blah bleh bleh. Also, her eyebrows are a little thick.
In the one of Angelina Jolie, you drew her eye pointing up, where if you look in the picture, it's pointing down. The rest of the face is right on though.
Try not to outline so much too, especially in the lips. You dont see such a dark line in peoples mouths since their lip color is so close to their skin color.
But keep it up, you have some nice shading on the comic book characters.
