I sent you an e-mail/pm I won't be able to make it to the event..last minute decision. I hope you guys can contact one of the people on the wait list who live in NYC and can attend..so I didn't waste a spot. I Just really need to meet a deadline and utilize every possible hour available to do so, and this came up last minute so it couldn't be avoided. Hope you get this or the e-mail.
you missed out.
modesty aside, i have to say, this event rocked!
this art out loud was much more intimate than the others.
fewer artists, but really in depth demos.
both donato and todd produced nearly finished works in the 4 hour time span.
i didnt take any pics, but hopefully someone else who did will post them here.
huge thanks to Dan, Irene, Donato and Todd for pulling this together. Like Dan said- more intimate and it gave the attendees more of a chance to really focus on the individual artists. As great as the last event was, I felt I got little snippets of the artists' techniques. This time I felt I got a complete overview of Todd and Donato's process- as much as could be done in a 4 hour period.
Again - thank you so much. I plan on taking advantage of every one of these events.
Thank you to Irene and Dan for putting all this together.
Thank you to Micheal and the fine folks at the Society for the hospitality.
Thank you to all the CA folks I got to hang out with, and my apologies to those I missed.
And, of course, thank you to Donato and Todd, for everything.
yeah, i know i missed alot of the CA-ers.Shux, i missed out on the pin give away at the last art out loud.Maybe i'll meet Timpaatkins , Elwell, and others at future events, i'll devise some way of recognition. I'll be at the next "Art out Loud" for sure, aswell as the Syd Mead lecture. Oh yeah, Thanks alot to Dan, Irene, Todd, and Donato for all of their hard work, time and effort!!!
Top notch event! I really enjoyed it. It was an effective set-up with lots to absorb and everyone was really friendly. I definitely feel I got a lot out of it. Thanks again Dan, Irene, Donato and Todd.
It was a great event. I wish I were more awake but, watching Todd was great, and Donato was great as usual in his Donato fashion. I cant wait for the next one. Im not going out the day before this time.. Well, I'll try not to go out the night before and maybe I can join the crew for some grub after. In any event.. Until next month!
Deschamps- Didnt know you were there.. Would have liked to chat with you...
Mainloop- man i must be dyslexic.. cuz i thought you asked how many people are on lsd
Thanks for the photos, Arkady and SBACHAN. was pleasure to looking at them. Hope more are coming. Art is beautiful and artists and an art director are sure good-looking people .

This girl on the portrait has a personality of Jeanne d' Arc, stern, fanatic, self-forgetting and fragile in the same time. There is so much suffering and pain and fear on her face. And huge effort to overpower all this. Hard inner work, even struggle.
