I'm not promising, but as far as I know that bar will be open...just not well manned during the event. Anyone wishing to drink that looks anywhere NEAR 30 and under, should bring ID.
The event is being held in the Society's dinning room, which happens to double as a Hall of Fame gallery. That's why there is a bar there. The galleries for contemporary shows will be downstairs. They will be open, but probably not any later than the event is running. If you want to take a peak, you should run down during the event at some point.
Irene, my name is Richie Blitz and I should be sending out my registration form today or tommorow.
Sorry for the delay, I've been out of town a lot lately.
I assume you got the discount? You should get the extra money back, if you didn;t.
I just checked with the Society and all high school students are good to get the student rate. Just send along a photocopy of the ID with the payment. Last year's high school ID is fine for those that have graduated high school but haven't started their college term yet.
MW - nothing planned yet, but I;m sure we'll do somthing next year...but we may cut back to two a year.
Vigo - we crossed posted. In fact, there is some more time on the November one...but we are doing a large mailing about that event this week so...if anyone is interested, it would be best to buy those tickets sooner than later.
I will be there in spirit. Arkady has an old pair of tighty whities I left at his place last time I can out... if you could bring those there and sit them on a seat, I will feel the presence of everyone attending from here in Chicago. I would appreciate you taking my magical voodoo undies out to the bar as well, because they haven't partied like they should have in a while.
