Where's that high-up photo taken from? Is it the London Eye, that large wheel? I think the perspective's a bit wrong for that. I'm confused now.
Well anyway, the building directly infront looks fantastic at Early Evening from any of the many bridges along the Thames. That's the one with the pointy roof. Though I must stress that photo is taken looking in the wrong direction. That's South of the River, the scary people live there. You can see an arch (white) far in the distance, sort of left of centre, that's an arena.

In terms of photography the shot I prefer most has to be that of the Tower of London (after the Lion), I like the way it's got dark trees and railings leading onto the shiny Tower. Even though the Tower is probably one of the darkest places in London. I believe the last person to be taken from there to be killed was a German spy during WW1, I'll have to read up on that.

I wonder what London would've looked like if someone had told the architects to avoid fiddly details and pointy bits... I love the lion, the perspective and the light makes it look really regal. The bloke in the bar looks creeeepy. *hides*

I am totally awesome and one day I'll be able to prove it.

Nice set of pictures, buddy ! Christie is superb in the two first. Lokks like she enjoyed London a lot. I like all the architectural details and the "Pélican" a lot. Will save them, if you allowed me this right.
Cheers, Sveta. [And thank you for the yesterday conversation]
    Julien.

Hello, sweet people, thanks for commenting.

Rhynome, man, it is time to see your face, we talk on regular bases now .
Yep. the photo is taken from London Eye. And I don't know why the perspective is wrong. Probably this damn perspective thinks too much about itself and didn't behave. I will tell it next time, what we think about this behavior, you and I, that it is wrong, this self-absorbing arrogant thing.
Now that I set it straight for you, dear Rhynome, please tell me about scary people you mentioned, because I'm sitting with my pupils widened up from fear, and curiosity. Tell me please, kind soul.
Thank you for nice comments and double thanks for writing to me.
Yeah Tower of London. This Henry the Eighth divided England in halves creating Protestant Church just out of a pure selfish desire to have younger wife. And just to think, he beheaded two of his wives when they were 19 years old girls. Read about these young girls standing calmly in the last moments and taking it with dignity. It was plenty of hysteric fits months before the event, but still. Amazing. What are personalities!

And you are right, the German spy was the last. Thanks again for writing to me.

Sofia Alexandra . I'm very fond of London architecture. Don't want any changes in it. except prices. English breakfast is wonderful invention. can make any person happy I think. Yorkshire pudding rules too. and Steak and ale pie! Forever!!!!! The bloke in the bar shaked my grounds, I was smitten by his looks. Thanks! You rule too.

Julien, thanks. please take it all and if you need anything to work with textures or make a composition tell me I'll send it to you in 300dpi resolution.

The man in the bar is really creepy... I like all the architecture details you captured, I always like that in big cities.
Shows me England in a new way, looks nice , especialy the cityscape with the "overtheroofs" shot is great.
