Wow, he could hold a lot of materia in that sword.
It's a nice start. It seems you have somewhat of an understanding of anatomy and clothing, but you could definitely stand to study up some, as could I. His left forearm looks too skinny. On the right, you cropped him off at a somewhat awkward position. It'd be better to show him entirely. It also looks like you had some trouble with his right hand, but that's understandable, since it's possibly the most difficult part of the human body to draw. His butt seems kinda baggy. You should probably rework the wrinkles there to show that he just has a low crotch on his pants.
The oriental characters look good. What do they mean?
All in all, it's promising. I'll leave more in-depth criticism to someone more knowledgable than I.

I think it's a great start! I'm wondering how you drew it, and I think the part that looks most off is his sword. The shading on the blade looks too sloppy compared to the rest of the piece, and the circles look too precise.. you should draw the circles yourself so they aren't so perfect. Also notice the distance from his waist (belt) area to the crotch of his pants. I think they're a little too far apart. I really like how you shaded the hair though, that looks awesome! keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comments. And I drew this on corel photo paint 8 with my mouse!
Here it is with the pants and sword fixed. But I think the hand looks better.
If you see any other problems tell me thanks.
