Sorry I haven't updated in a long time. I have canned 50 lbs of peaches and 50 lbs of pears in the last two weeks. I still need to can another 50 lbs of pears this weekend before they go bad. Thumbnail and a study.
Thanks. That was definitely my favorite part too. Basically, I guess I sacrificed it to follow the topic presented, although I have been sorely tempted in recent weeks to enter totally unrelated drawings in Random Topic of the Week so Chaos would have to crack the whip. I'm just not quite that much of a jerk.
The image you mention was a monotype in blue greens that I subjected to major amounts of solarization filter.
Now we are supposed to be adding flowing lines to the action line and torso box and hip box. Then we start fleshing out the details. In these first couple I was getting a little bogged down into specific muscles but the last (5 min.) I got the hang of the exercise.

I save up the excess powder from doing pastels. It can be used to rub all over the paper and draw with the eraser. I got a little tired of pen and ink this morning and I am doing a streambed in dry media.
