Sorry I haven't updated in a long time. I have canned 50 lbs of peaches and 50 lbs of pears in the last two weeks. I still need to can another 50 lbs of pears this weekend before they go bad. Thumbnail and a study.

Today is the first drawing day of my life drawing class. Hopefully updates will be more frequent. This tree bench is what I have been doing lately.

The first two are 4 min. each figure if I remember correctly. Some might be 1 min. The third jpeg is a seven minute pose.

I really like the colours of your Cavern of Howling Death in your Wip. I think it stands on its own without the angel and the monkey...

Thanks. That was definitely my favorite part too. Basically, I guess I sacrificed it to follow the topic presented, although I have been sorely tempted in recent weeks to enter totally unrelated drawings in Random Topic of the Week so Chaos would have to crack the whip. I'm just not quite that much of a jerk.

The image you mention was a monotype in blue greens that I subjected to major amounts of solarization filter.

    These are ones.

This is Prescott's courthouse plaza. Sepia on smooth bristol. The statue is a different view of the Bucky O'Neill bronze by Solon H. Borglum.

Now we are supposed to be adding flowing lines to the action line and torso box and hip box. Then we start fleshing out the details. In these first couple I was getting a little bogged down into specific muscles but the last (5 min.) I got the hang of the exercise.

All right. I've been excluded from the poll for fly breeder basically because I didn't draw a fly. I figgered flies were for COW rather than CHOW. Guess that's what I get for figgerin'.

In this class session we were to draw light and shadow only, no core shadow and no lowlights.

Well, I got the brick patio done finally. I still got to trim away those little alluvial fans caused by the dry mortar method being used up on the platform part.

Thanks. I'll come check your book when I get a little breathing room in my schedule. Here's the final on that last pen and ink drawing.

We had no model in class on Wednesday. This is one of the students posing. She was interesting in being only about six heads tall.

I save up the excess powder from doing pastels. It can be used to rub all over the paper and draw with the eraser. I got a little tired of pen and ink this morning and I am doing a streambed in dry media.

Never mind. The disk drive on this library computer doesn't work.
