Hey guys, I've done some recent work but I've been really lazy about posting it online. As some of you may know I'm a big bodybuilding fan, I look to those physiques for inspiration and it has probably affected my art in a very negative way (some would say.) This coming weekend the biggest bb contest of the year will be held in Las Vegas, the Mr. Olympia. I was browsing some forums when I stumbled on these recent shots of one of the competitors that really impressed me. As I've had arguments with people about triceps anatomy I figured I'd post these shots here.

Some of you will consider this grotesque, but it's definitely interesting from the anatomy perspective.

    Some drawings

OK it's been a long time coming but here's some stuff I scratched together in the last months since I last posted here. There is some commonality in all of these, namely they were started under Ubuntu, couple were finished with Photoshop in windows later.

Portrait of a girl done entirely in The GIMP using Ubuntu 10.10

Next couple were started in GIMP and MyPaint respectively, but what you're seeing here is the finished versions which were completed in Photoshop. Yeah I left the hand big on purpose.

    Hello.
The good ol' 2006 year. Ahh, that was a great year.
You are here for four years and I did not found your sketchbook
not once. That only shows how huge this forum is.
I see that you had some break lately, you was not posting
real frequently, but you are back if I am right?

    About your work;
I think that Novbert said in #677 pretty much what I wanted to
say about your earlier works, so please read that post again, it
shows most of your weak points and what should you aim for in the
future. However, two years has passed since that date, and I see that
you have improved much and that you started doing different things and
you are doing them in a much more realistic fashion that you did in the
    start.
I have to mention that I like very much the works that you posted
in #636 and in #640, and those paintings are looking very promising
and you should strive a bit in that direction too.
You are very much influenced with body builders, just as you said yourself,
and that can be seen through all your works.
Maybe you are over emphasizing and over pumping those muscles with no need,
in some cases, or you are became too consistent with those large veins.
You can still use those effects in your fantasy arts, you just do not
over use them. I will mention that you should read again Novbert's post, he is
talking the same thing that I am highlighting here.

I respect your choice of joining with Clanlord in Team Chow. You have some
outstanding works, judging the ones that I see in your last pages. I do not
know what is happening with Clanlord, we used to post in each other's sketch
books but he disappeared suddenly. Where is he?
This body builder in #753 is motivating me to start training,
man he has brutal muscles. Those images worth gold for references.

Overall, your work is great, and I respect your veteran status here,
I wish you even more posts and lots of pages in your sketchbook here.
I forgot to mention, you should implement some head studies and more
important perspective studies in your training process.
Will visit you later, to see if you got some updates.
Take care and post a lot of beautiful fantasy art, just as you
    did till now.

    p.s.
this last Barbarela painting is just too awesome and sexy.
    Barbarela with cyrillic fonts.

    Slacking...

I'm not even so sure this site is even alive anymore... rarely check here and I certainly don't get many comments but what the heck.

Here are some of the drawings I've made this year. Not too many refined stuff, not too much digital painting, but maybe I'm getting my muse back recently...

Just looking at this last page of your SB, and then noticing the low rating (3.58?) I had my own "WTF?" moment. Your improvement since December has been pretty staggering. Still some issues with faces, and neck proportions... but
    this one stands out

    http://www.eternalseven.com/images/2...oken-Sword.jpg

Very cool. Is that an original or a master copy? Either way, well done. 5 stars to drag your rating up a bit more.

Hey man, your stuff is great, I do like the Hood brains piece a lot =) I do wonder though, are her legs unintentionally broken at the angles or is it a theatrical effect maybe.. just a thought.. Personally I think it looks nice imho =) Good job on your works =)

Kungfoowiz, thanks for the comment sir. Her legs and arms are intentionally made that way. That's a scene from a book from the Malazan Empire series by Steven Erikson. She's a humanoid creature from the Forkrul Assail race, they have extra joints in their limbs.

You disappeared for six months from last December,
that surprised me a bit. But you are back now, and
that is just great. I like your pencil work, the dragon posted on
4th July this year. And that futuristic knight in the same post
is pretty cool also. The 8th March pig sketch is fun.
Nice speeding effect on that running beast/dinosaur.
Your figures sometimes lack some solid structure and the
proportions are a bit off, especially on that female painting in #764.
Other than the above mentioned flaws, you have some great and
creative ideas, and generally I like your concepts.
The 'Malazan Empire' character is cool, but you should try to use
wider variety of colors. That will make your paintings even more interesting
    and more dynamic.
The Seeing Seven cover is great, the red roses definitely pulls
the attention of the viewer, and the wings of the female are done
outstandingly. Watch for anatomy on important pieces like this one
is, cause they can ruin the bit of the overall feeling.
#769 batch is great, however the 'Steel Inquisitor' suffers some severe
anatomy issues. I would advice that you implement some dynamic
pose studies from time to time. Again the idea is great but the technical
side of the drawing pulls the piece down a bit. The 'Hood eats Brains Malazan
Empire' is my favorite cause of the brutality. I like the brain eating concept.
You have created some nice foggy blurry movement effect on this last one
in your last post. Glad that you are more active now, sorry that I did not
    visited more earlier.

You are MAD N1va! Very stunning stuff!

I especially like the portrait of that handsom girl! She looks just like a real person!
