Very nice. I think her neck is a bit long though, but very nice use of texture and shading. The creature thing that she is riding on is a bit random, but it looks good nonetheless. The characters are very nicely drawn and proportioned, and I like the styling to them.
Very nice website, love your work. Keep it coming.
The only thing other then that I can say is work on your facial expressions a little bit, most of the ones on your site don't quite express feelings very apropos for their actions. This is only on your human characters mainly.

Thank you for the comments and visiting the website. I am working hard on improving human expressions actually, I know this and I'm trying different things. Most of them are not things I want to showcase right now though but I've reached some good success so some of it will soon make its way into my finished work, hopefully!!!
Here is one I made recently which does show some expression

Thanks for the comments again!
Here is another drawing I completed just this last weekend.
This is a remake of a sketch I made in 2004 in about 20 mins which I always liked but had recently started bothering me and wanted to improve on. You can see the old sketch at the following link:
Once again, thanks for all the comments. This community is huge, I post something and it just scrolls out of view

That last piece is amazing. Your pencil stuff is also excellent. The figures though, seemed to be a little stiff. It kinda seems like the guy having the smoke should be a little more relaxed. I think it might just be the relationship between the character and the background, maybe darker shadows on the wall where his back is and the same with the ground and his leg.
This is super quick, but just to give you an idea of what i'm saying:
Amazing work none-the-less, keep it up.

Very good work, but indeed, you need to work on your poses and anatomy. The smoking guy's ellbow is twisted too much. The right knee seems to make a strange twist to (a bit hart to tell) - the twist shoud start in the upper leg. Hope you learn from this and make some even more amazing stuff int he future.

Thanks for the comments on the anatomy and esp on the shadows, I might paint over the smoker, I always had that in mind but there is so much to do!!! Anyways, I don't want to work on that right now, still trying to clean up some things with the website, after that I'll be 100% happy with it and I can dedicate more mental power to drawing, painting and finally showcasing some 3D work.

Some new sketches and one of two paintings I'm working on
Here is a sketch I made the other day. I'm starting to think about the Blizzard art challenge, check out their main website if you haven't heard.
I also made another quick sketch last weekend with the intention of painting it. No refs were used so let me know if something's screwed up.

Eternal Seven Image
This is an image from the Eternal Seven project, it is unfinished, I just scanned it in even though it's quite old I took it out with the intention of doing more work on it or redrawing it completely. I think I messed up his foot, other crits are welcome.

Hey whats happening Glad to see you showcase some of your work. As everyone has already replied about your anatomy and faces I'll find something else to post about. But I gotta say it, you shading is superb. On the last post a couple of things popped out at me. One, his arms seems to be overly saturated with veins. Great job on how you made them stand out but I found my attention going toward them. The characters left forearm has a weird fold in it and no elbow. He must really hate her if the sword is shoved that deep into the ground beneath her On the previous post with the portrait of the girl, her eyes are too far apart. I dig the folds in her shirt. As far as your style, I love it! Great imagination and creativity in your fantasy work. Keep it up and keep posting. I'll be checking back!

More on the face!
I don't know what went wrong, I was working on this like crazy today and at one point I looked at it and started not liking it. SO I'M NOW FINISHED WITH IT!
Here is a detailed shot of the face which looks cool, at least I think it does. About 10 hours went into the whole image. The only reason why I don't feel it's a complete loss is because I only did this for practice, I need much more.
Darkchild, thanks for visiting!

on the last one, i dont know if its intentional or some type of demon, but those eyes are realllly far apart, totally non proportional.
If its not human Id undrstand.
The pencils look great, nice tone

This is the result of today's work. I added quite a bit in PS even though it still looks like it was entirely done in pencil.
I really wanted to work on the lighting of this one, the face didn't turn out great but the harshness of it adds to the panic factor I guess.

Wow your shading is really nice! I can comment on your proportions and anatomy, but you said you draw in kind of a cartoony style. What I can say is you might want to draw a bit more from life, just to work on perspective, so your cartoony people really look like they fit into the world they do.
Nice stuff thou, that last picture is my favorite, the RE/lara croft girl

Hey Chiko, thanks for the nice words. Comments are welcome for anatomy, I will be taking your advice, I never draw from reference and lately I'm finding the need to. I think I'm going to have some time in the next couple of days to get some serious sketching done and I'll bring some references. I'll post here on my progress, I really like this website! I've learned a lot since I joined and it's only been a couple of weeks now, and I'm actually more motivated to draw then ever before.

Alright! Nice to see you draw from life. Are these women really that skinny from the catalog? I want to feed them first The heads may be a tad too big, specifically the top left and the bottom right. Right hand is a too small on the top right girl. Great poses and really awesome shading! My advice is to keep doing studies like these while you are doing your normal fantasy work. These practices will eventually show throughout your work. Keep it up, I'll be waiting for your next batch!

Take 1 was updated above
I made some modifications to the above picture, mainly stuff Darkchild mentioned and things I wasn't happy with. I also added a new girl since I had more space on that page
Detailed screenshots below:
Some of these had some really quick post processing done in Photoshop.

Also here is another sketch I made early this morning. Hopefully I'll have some free time this weekend to do more.
I spent the most time working on the girl in the top right. She had a hand over her left breast area and for some reason I chose to improvise there. The bottom two were sketched out really quickly.
July 28th, 2006 #28
Last post: beautiful! Love the pose and tone of the top right girl. Your proportions and faces are way better than the previous posts. I hope you find some time to sketch over the weekend. Keep at it I already some improvements from the last sketches
