So I had a old Sketchbook on here, but I lost my image hosting server, so all those post I made display absolutely nothing because when my host went down everything got deleted. So I'm starting a fresh one.
The lastest piece: (Just because I felt like drawing her really).

All in all a good piece, some things though:
-Can't tell if shes wet or shiny, or if the lines in the background is rain or just a background or what. Also can't tell if she is wearing a bottom piece to the outfit because the lines dont follow through, but I assume she is.
-The fingers are somewhat skeletal and the her left hand is a bit small (from my perspective).
-Her head is just a tad bit too big, but no complaints really.
Other then that, great figure, nice face, and I love the hair. I haven't seen any of your other work yet, but I'm liking it so far. Keep it up.
Had a look at your site, liked most of it, but I especially liked your colored picture of Storm from X-men. Coincidentally it also seems to be the only one lacking such 'slap-in-the-face' sex appeal.
lines in the background is just scribble. and as for wearing a bottom piece yeah she's wearing pants. and yes those fingers are a bit skeletal.
and yeah the storm piece was colored by the very talented thomas mason. i do see what you mean about the lacking sex appeal, i should do that more heh, ppl really liked that piece even before the colors.
anyways thanks for looking man!
here's a new sketch i just did on my wacom about a hour ago. her fingers kind of scare me...

Some advice on hands. I think the reason yours are looking a bit off is because you're using concave curves. Look at your fingers, both from the top of your hand and from the side. See how even then thinner portions are made up of a combination of multiple convex curves. Really the entire human form is this way. Check this link for a much better explination than I can offer. This is a great read. http://features.cgsociety.org/story_...?story_id=3346
hey morning bloom that was a good read. thanks for the link, it was helpful

Hey Arista, cool drawings here bro!!! My fav is Doc Doom and Cap. Would it be possible to post some life studies. Maybe an sp or two. Lookin forward to see more updates.
Storm's been digitally altered (to everyone who first saw it). i touched it up with my wacom lol, thing just didn't look right. but i think it look's better now.
what's a sp?Originally Posted by gmags
i guess i could post up some, most of the life studies i've done are on REALLY large paper though (as in to big for the scanner). so i'm a do some new one's and i'll get then up and scanned when i can.
An SP is a self portrait.
Yeah, life studies could help you alot. Look up some Loomis books for anatomy help.
i got loomis, but i mostly have studies i've done from george brigman & burne hogarth as far as studies from books go. guess i could post those up. i'll scan some in tomorrow.Originally Posted by DeathChalupa
as for a SP i had one from when i did drawing on the right side of the brain, but that kind of... sucked lol. i'll try and do a new one soon.
ya know i think you're right rod. i may edit that later with the wacom. i erased on the pencil version yesterday and i've got a HUGE smudge cause of where the original X emblem used to be.
anyways here's the latest contribution. catwoman!

I can see a heavy comic influence in the stuff you've posted. Some good works but there are issues with proportions, I don't know if you're flipping your works in photoshop (or whatever you're using), but this could help you catch some of the errors and not catch grief for it.
Courtney looks recognizable once you added the text, but w/o it I wouldn't have known, the bodybuilder below looks like Markus Ruhl though I guess I know since I'm a bodybuilding fanatic. You should work more on faces and drawing from references/real life. It helps me a lot to improve if I use a reference.
Keep them coming, you're off to a good start.
thanks man, yeah i do need to practice facial expressions more. i probably put to much focus into the bodies. and yeah i see what you mean about the proportions, i think i did it again today heh with gladiator's hand's.... thanks for the reply man. also if you look in here again, do you know of any site that has good ref. for men's anatomy? i often have problem's with doing their torso's and legs, although i'm getting a better understanding from hogarth's books.
here's today's piece: gladiator!
awesome dude... keep up the good work!!
