Right, here's just a little update of stuff from the last couple of days. wizard came to stay at the castle over the weekend and we drank a shit load of whisky and did a bit of sketching, then it was the oxford uk meet on the sunday.
I havent really been doing a lot of sketching recently, I feel like i am at a bit of a crossroads, i have to find a way of making some money with my art, cause shit be getting a bit tight, so i doubt i will be about much for a while atleast, just until i get myself sorted and find a way to get the rent paid. thanks everyone for your continued support, it really means a lot.

    Cheers

    Eri

Dude, Eri, mind if I take one of these sketches and start working some magiv on it? These are some of my favorite doodles you've done, the linework is damn bold and decisive. Plus you'll give a collaboratron a much better start than a shit sketch of mine would haha...

    dude those are all awesome.

Like I said to you, you've gotta do what you've gotta do. Your art has to go somewhere, and do something. But don't go abandoning us cause you don't love us, you big meanie.

    Hot cheese!
Lovely work my mightily tall friend. Very refreshing, very solid, nice sense of eri design being developed.
Loved the TD piece, but you know that.
See you when i'm back in the drizzle.

I think maybe you could up the saturation of the colours in photoshop a little, dude, cause I always remember them being more intense and compelling in life than when scanned.

I really like the characterisation of the girl and the chimp. I think it'd be great if the colours were a little more separated, though, to emphasise the blockiness of the individual tones a little better, rather than blending them. Like, really emphasise that blockiness.

Nice one, catch you online cuz

its never boring eri.... always interesting. esp the gouche mess. (easy to make a mess...hard to make that mess speak). You have style....

whoa-i gotta admit, that hussar induced nightmare piece scares me more than his actual paintings. something about those eyes just makes my stomach cramp. can't stand to look at it for long, heh. i'd say you're the first person to convincingly achieve the feeling of a nightmare.(for me)
hatmonkey and that reindeer(?) are great. most of all how simple the reindeer actually is-just three colours (as far as i can see),but as powerful as can be. i think i'll have to check by more often again, missed some of the latest stuff.

dood, the headless animals stuff is just as awesome as I'd knew it would be. beautiful mark&line variation and extremely confident.
it's great to see your confidence with paint (digital or trad) growing steadily still - colours of the bird nightmare are really effective.

cheers and new years from a wizard
