Sweet nature pics! I wish I lived there. California's just a polluted dump

As for the swamp monster--what can I say? It's SUHWEET. I heart your creatures and I like looking through your blog!

Nice pictures. I wouldn't mind taking a hike there though it might be chilly.

    krato: thanks!
metal fingers: thanks! haha spot the puppy!!!
luckers: thanks! I'm glad I was helpful to you!!
aberzheim: nah man, colors and values are all approximated. thanks tho! Well, I'm sort of starting my own stream urhhh well I did a stream today with like 10 ppl...I probably bored them to death...
    dr popcorn: thanks!
eddiee: lol it's cool some times to live in the boonies. I like the woods and all, but I wish there were some people to hang out with every once in a while. [ones that aren't 3 hours away] awesome! I'm glad u checked out my blog!!
mike butkus: hahaha u are such a liar, we both know I am a hack!!
pigeonkill: yeah it's been chilly like 36F (2.2C) and raining lately blehhhh
    ryan:

so these are from the stream I did today. I talked about my two most basic working methods, and I rambled a lot...each one was around an hour...ermmm yeah nothing too fancy, but i think it'd be real boring to watch me render...haha
hope someone can find these step-by-steps useful

Cool stuff thanks for sharing your process and for the reply from the post before...I've recently become a Mac user and I'm using CS4 on trial - I was wondering about a slight lag I sometimes get when painting, you don't have anything like that in CS3 ?

alexson: yeah, zach was having issues on sunday, so I did a stream for the 10 ppl that were there. Gotta keep the daggers crimson!!
mactire: thanks! glad u enjoyed it!
randis: thank you, very thank you!
teroteki: thanks! hopefully someone can learn from it
    squiddy: oooh mmm
metalfingers: errrrr it was a bad stream I'll try to get a regular time slot, and when I do it'll go up on the crimson daggers site.
defiled visions: there will be more streams don't worry. Hopefully you can go to the next one so people will actually ask me questions...otherwise I just do what I do normally and tell myself how shit I am...
thirdeye: uhm I get lag sometimes...if i'm using certain custom brushes/really large brushes...I generally work around 3333x2400 @ 300 ppi... My machine also isn't that powerful either...it's an 2.3 GHz intel duo core iMac from 2007 with 3.2 GB of RAM [maxed out ram ] I get a lot more lag on my tabletpc...

you can allocate more ram to photoshop, and do some minor tweaking to make it run better [less undo states, less antialiasing states, etc]

IRC TD: 10 creatures in 60 minutes.

I only had 40 minutes b/c I started late. It was fun though! I'll probably go back and clean a few of these up at some point [hopefully]

    phil: thanks phil!
mike: u reckon? it's probably just cuz you're so busy and don't have time to properly integrate it into your workflow someone with your skill level can only be held back by the software...
    aaro_n: if u say so!

we had another 1 hr challenge for 10 creatures so fun!

Lol, monstermons! love em, especially the flying cow a bit further up! I'll just stay for a while and let these monsters do the licking.
Regarding the stream, gotta start somewhere no? though.. all I got are silly questions..

    Love your tones and colors.

I think I should break away soon and do some studies there.
