Haha, okay. I thought you might have a name for the character, since he's also your avatar. :B

I saw the sketches on your blog. I really like the dapper fellow with the big ears.

Hey man, I'm surprised I haven't seen this sketchbook yet. I really love your characters/colored pieces. They are very original looking and have a lot of personality. I also like your colors, they give everything an interesting feel.
Also thanks for posting your process a page back, I need to try that. Great sketchbook.

Alm0st: I'm generally not inebriated...though you really wouldn't be able to tell
    p sage: yikes
Mark Tarrisse: thanks..mmm action in the back section...
Cacodaemonia: yeah, I don't really have any great affiliation with the chars... they're just ideas. thanks
    midknight523: brushes....mmmurp
Untouched24: thanks for stoppin' by. Glad u like some stuff.

so here's my default brush settings. I think this brush gives me lots of control over what I'm doing. I made a variant brush for my good friend dave rapoza [mr.delcious] when I was hanging out at his place, and he made a pretty sweet video tutorial on how to make it.

also I think it's important to keep in mind that I'm also working at 300 ppi at print size [this particular image happens to be 2679x3754 @ 300 ppi] here's some 'detail' shots to give u an idea of how loose it really is.

Lovely style, at times It gets a bit macabre, not sure why, but I kinda see it that way. It could have something to do with your sketchbook title.

Awesome enviro studies! Are you out in the wild with your wacom and laptop? I've always wanted to try that, but our laptop's screen is really bad viewing angle/glare issues.
