I liked your irctdome. It reminded me of gabo's style a little bit and you know I fanboi over that. But I agree with Stark about your life drawings. You make the head tiny, and a lot of them have lopsided heads.

The values on your life drawings could be better but maybe its the scan that makes them wonky, cause the faces seem to get muddy from you pushing the values too much and leaving the rest of the figure with flat rendering. Another thing you should try doing is playing with the figure compositionally. How would it be situated on the picture plane. Draw a lil box around the figure in different places playing with stuff. Just a thought.

Ok, critting one of the guys that has helped me the most with overpaints to see where I'm dead wrong...

    *steps into oblivion*

    *lol*

No seriously. Buncha great stuff. But, as pointing to a discussion earlier, what you lack is clear lines and fast and down to earth line work. Like for your life drawings. I'm not a master there myself *coughs violently*, but easy but quick lines seems to be somewhat out of your box. Clean work, if ya know whadai mean....
You rock in the copying. You rock in nailpointing issues in a lot of stuff including my own. But I'd like to some see some clear, strong, bold lines, done effortlessly without thinking. And getting it right.

    Hope you understood that, heh.

Other than that... thankyouthankyou for all your help so far. And some of your stuff rocks me so violently I really need to make a light studio just to learn the bloody stuff without asking you. *rofl*

    stark: thanks

aveh: yeah, I've learned a lot by looking at gabo's work. he's very good at value and edges [and color, really] unsharp mask + addnoise filter is why it looks gaboish probably Yeah, the faces looks muddy due to the shitty photography. I'd like to say I'll get better photos [or even a scan] but I don't think I'll ever get around to it. I'd really like more figure drawing from life, I don't get much practice, so when I do, I'm not super concerned with composition. The values aren't that great in the drawings. I feel 1 hour is not enough time to do a complete drawing, but maybe i'm just too slow. Thank you for stopping by.

osmus: whatchu been up to mang?

sorknes: thank you very much for giving me crits You don't need to be able to do something to see it! Seeing comes before doing anyhow. And you're right, I lack the ability to lay down the lines properly the first time. I really don't know why that is. It's something I'm currently struggling to figure out. I can only copy when I have enough time to correct my mistakes. I'm not sure what the answer is, but I suppose just more drawing from life and concentrate on getting good linework...maybe it has something to do with being able to visualize? I feel like I'm close to 'getting it' I just need something to click...and it hasn't happened yet :<
keep up the good work, you're def. making improvements

so I got a new tablet [the 6x11] to fit my 20 inch widescreen monitor....and holy hell it's wicked way super comfortable to work on compared to the 6x8 that I had. Two doodles I've done to break it in

lennon: thanks. I still kind of feel incometent when it comes to colors :/
I thought a square sword was neat. I clearly know nothing about swords tho.

    ikuru: thanks

sooo waronmars has this WIP...and she seemed to be super frustrated with her working process. I decided to give her a PaintOver, and at the same time I decided to try out promtheus|anj's working process from his process tut while killing some time. I really enjoyed the process, so I thought I'd share. It really goes to show how many problems can be fixed [erm...or not fixed] in the drawing stages. I also learned that if you have the patience to go over your scribbles and make clean linework, you can uhm..get clean linework? Blasphemy, I know!

Such a great guy Devin. Space gee-tar is indeed better than air gee-tar. But how many people do you know that rocks out in the astrosphere...or a sphere of some sort? Yeah, I know.

bleh I went emo since mid december. Now I'm cured [maybe]

just some doodles in procratination of my LMS entry. since then. I really wish I had more to show for myself having not posted in a month. Got overburdened with too many jobs and finishing up the semester...which drove me into madness.

stark: thanks. by 'know' do you mean people that actually exist? If that's the case, then zero...

    mydrim: cheers

    slash: ugh

    jakers: cheers

Effective thumbnail process, I like the one you chose to develop the most. It would be neat if the lower torso had something more going on...some vines wrapped around her body or more designs/paterns, but I love the legs/feet...gives it a lot of character.

IA: twunt? hrm I'll take that as an insult and pretend it's a compliment!
    nadiamoon: thank you very much!

maxetormer: thanks for dropping by man

AlexC: thanks a ton man, I'm not the only one who is improving Does less IRCing and more arting make you get better faster? I should try that some time

    Sellis: thanks Stu!

    Stark: hahah yeah

    RandAlThor: thank you very much

jakers: yeah, the thumbnail process is based on a process from Prometheus|ANJ ....it's totally my new favorite way of working...Very fast and effective - though I wish I was as fast as prom... he's speedy speedster! and has awesome colors.
