looking at the tank book fo ref
    and then sketching on PS

    first main values and sky
then is just a matter of balancing
everything and keep it quick, from
big bold brushtrokes to tiny details
    trying a no linework approach
go from big planes or masses to small ones

    gnomon workshop was awesome
got the chance to see my fav artists
and talk to so many talented folks , you know who you are

everybody is so excited and inspired after watching
and learning at the lectures, and it was a lot of fun
some of the lectures i can remember from:
    David Krentz
    Ron Lemen
    Craig Mullins
    Ian McAig
    Dan Milligan
    David Finch
    pld:

    now some sketch

playing with some of the circle default
photoshop brushes, clicking on the dynamics

    doing blobs of color,
    then use more gradient brushstrokes
    to give nice transitions
    the design functionality is awful,
    but leaving mysterious undefined strokes
makes the audience complete the design
    with their imagination,
after overall silhouette zoom in and
do tiny details for help in scale
, still fighting to make my things go away
    from the appereance of toys

    . . . im trying

    i know is crude
    but just trying to
    use a combination of brushes
    to achieve certain things
still really bad but it might be
    worth investing time polishing
    a methodology or approach after
    a hard brush approach

the soft brush looks overworked right?
i dunno is hard to describe shapes
with it hard edge is good but too . . hard pld:

gotta find a way to do soft vs hard edge
    then lost and found too

start on abstract blobs , flip canvas
in many ways and find a shape
and just on one layer paint stuff,
    gradients and fin shapes
    refine them and apply
    a little perspective,
    really grafic but fun

    watching some daily show
    and sketching, dont feel like
im learning anything in design side . .
just autopilot into copying what i see
    but in a methodolical mode . .
start with some sort of X, Y, Z axis
and start building the figure and mirror
sides in perspective, . . feels like im doing
    something besides just watching tv

a good thing to add later would be
to put some line weight depending on the light
direction or focus on the overlaps
