Conceptwork for Dreamlords (big DL) (May 4th 2007 update)

Hi everybody, it's me again and i've finally made some interesting art to show here in the "it's finally finished!" section.

Here are some of the work i've done for a sweden based game studio called Lockpick Entertainment and the game that they're currently devoleping called Dreamlords. It's a MMORTS with some interesting twists to it and it's looking pretty good

Anyways, i'll be posting some more work at a later point and in my exclusive sketchbook i'll be posting detail shots and maybe a tutorial or 2 about the process in the future.

    On with the show.

    enjoy

Wow, really nice update, got on minor crit, the horn for the first character slides off the center line and looks a bit unbalanced. Really like the designs, cool stuff.

Björn, it's been an absolute treat to watch you grow and develop through the years, since we first met in amsterdam.
These concepts are fantastic. My favourate is the Icarine one. I'll go check out the game website now.

How many years you got left in school? Companies are gonna be fighting over you once you graduate!!!

Keep it up dude, : ]

    Peace

I love the illos, cool concepts! However that layout and borders are bringing down your work. Those diamonds in the frames looks kinda cheesy, and those drop shadows don't help neither. I'm not digging the repetition-fade-flip of the characters in the background, but it's just a matter of personal taste.
Seriously, those borders are killing your fantastic pieces.
    Cheers!

I think perhaps the night dragon and the fire dragon are a bit too similar to be separate concepts. I would try and alter the silhouettes. (how the fnuckles is that spelled?) anyways awesome to see youre doing some real works. Im sure fox is right, theyll be battling over you like nuts.

keep rockin and ffs post more!

Finally an explanation of your absence in the sketchbook lately. Great work. Love the Maurit one the most - very interesting texture of the shell.

Awesome Work Björn!!!! really cool! congrats ^^

the only thing that bugs me, and keep in mind its super minor, is that you cropped the horns off in #1 & 5 (its just a graphic design thing....).
