    tabletpc q

ok. so i recently bought myself a tabletpc [toshiba m405]
i was hoping i would be able to draw on it while at the same time projecting the img onto my monitor

however, i've come face to face with a pblm. the orientation of the img on the laptop is flipped compared to that on the monitor

    here's what i mean:
    tabletpc q

i cant just flip my tabletpc around because there's all those cables plugged in back there

    am i missing something here?
    thankss

Go to Control Panel -> Tablet and Pen Properties, go to the Display tab, and you'll find a dropdown box to select orientation. Most TPCs also have some way to change orientation with hardware buttons, though I'm not sure the specifics of the Toshibas (I have an HP).

    yeah..no.
i'm aware you can change the screen orientation.
however, when you do so on the tablet, it also changes the monitor yes?

if you look at the picture above, you see that the monitor is upright while the tabletpc is upside down

    unless i'm missing something?
    thanks anyways though

Ah, sorry, misunderstood you. I remember running into this problem some time back when I had to give a presentation. Unfortunately, unless MS added new features to the display properties since then, there's no way that I'm aware of to have different orientations for a cloned display.

Hey how well does that tablet pc work for doing artwork. I was thinking of getting one instead of a wacom. Someone said tablet pc's kind of lags.

honestly i haven't done much drawing with it yet but from messing with it here's what i have found:

there seems to be a small discrepancy between the drawing with the pen and it appearing on the screen. however, it's fairly minimal

other than that. it works fine

ok. i just found out that using extended desktop, you can have different orientations for the displays
    yay!

nvm. i just realized. that doesnt allow me to display the same window on both monitors.
