    Trollboys sketchbook (updated july21 2006)

I was inspired so much my Mr Visions Moleskine at the workshop i bought a small one myself! I know the book alone wont make me better, but maybe filling it up will help anyway heres what ive put in it so far. C&C?

You want some crits? Here ya go:
#1 You're a big bully, tryin to scare me off with your mad skills.
#2 You're distracting me with your avatar... how am I supposed to look at your work when I can't stop staring at your fleshy cleavage?
#3 Not nearly enough sketches, keep posting!

I definitely agree with the comment about bigger views, there seems like there's a wonderful amount of detail that we can't see as well cuz they're small. But from what I can tell, wow. You have a unique style in your portraiture that's really attractive.

thanks for all the comments guys! i took the advice about the image sizes being to small, and uploaded bigger versions (saved at higher quality too) I hope these are big enough... when i hold my sketchbook up to the screen theyre almost exactly the same size (the sketchbook is tiny, only 3.5x5.5 inches)... so i guess if you have the same monitor and set up i do it all good!

Yay for moleskine madness! Is this thread supposed to be for drawings from the little sketchbook only? Judging from your (mad) skills, you do other stuff too, IŽd be interested to see that.

Trollboy, those anatomy studies are looking good! I fully intend to mimic you this weekend and get my ass to a life drawing class. I have yet to see one of these infamous moleskins, but I really like that it's toned paper and you can make your sketches pop with a few highlights. Keep it up!

Trollboys Sketchbook (updated july 21 2006)

Anticonnor: thanks man. if you go to life drawing you'll be outdoing me tho! i've been drawing people from pics, then adding the bones. Lately I've too lazy to go to life drawing.

here's 2 more spreads from my little book.
first one is an anatomy study, with some heads drawn from the 100 head challenge from gctalk. i only got to 5! lol. the second page is a doodle.

As always, C&C is appreciated! Thanks
